    That packaging is very stunning! I started working with resin as a hobbie a month ago and yesteday I sold my first set of coasters! I published them just to see if someone could ever think of buying them and after 3 days they were sold, I had no idea how to package them, this video has helped me a lot! Thank you very much for sharing all your amazing work process!

    Louise, I just started working with resin about six months ago. Your work is so inspiring and you have given me ideas to go on. I watch nearly every day, although I think some of the videos are old. New or old, they are all new to me and it means a lot to be able to watch someone as professional as you. Love your packaging. I have only given my pieces away as gifts so far, but I'm making so many that I will need to sell some. Many of us are grateful for your happy little mistakes. They help us learn not only what to do, but what not to do. After watching you make several pyramids, I finally bought a pyramid mold to try. I will be giving it a go this week. I will be adding a light the same way you have. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! 💜♥️💜

    Really enjoyed watching and learning from you. I’m just getting used to resin but only to finish my fluid art coasters. I’m really pleased to stumble across your videos to learn to develop my knowledge and try using moulds. Also, being from Yorkshire it’s so lovely to hear that lovely northern accent - simply great!

    Louise, it is always an absolute pleasure to watch your videos, your calm, your zen, your attitude, what ever you wanna call it, on rough days it always brings a smile.
    To me these look very much like the iris patterns of the eye. That maroon colour is one of my favourite shades too, especially love leather in that colour, like the old chesterfields.
    Your packaging is absolutely beautiful, I would love to see how you would package a pyramid.
    Pyramids are my preference for resin work and I struggle with that creative flair that seem so natural to you.
    Thank you for being a bit of light for me this morning.

    Lovely coasters and technique. Also very refreshing to hear a Yorkshire accent, I thought at first you were from Leeds like me but then after listening a bit more I thought you might be closer to Hull ? I have a fascination for accents and just like to know if I'm right or not ! I also saw your video on making vases from balloons. I thought it might be easier for you to use a lazy Susan when marking the balloon to cut the top off, just an idea. I have just bought my first lot of epoxy resin so will be watching more of your videos for tips and advice. Thank you Eve

    Love your work Louise, your a very talented lady. I’m very, very new to resin art, so I learn so much by watching the fabulous pieces of art that you create! Your amazing! Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful creations, I appreciate it so much! ❌❌🥰 Do you mind if I ask you a little question? I was just wondering what the name of the top, heat resistant coat is that you use? The finish you have on your work is just beautiful, I absolutely love it. Hope you don’t mind me asking you that! ❌ Thank you again! ❌🥰

      What a beautiful message. Thank you so much Andrea. Of course it is ok to ask questions. The heat resistant resin is called Top Pro and I purchase it from Resin Pro. I don’t know where you live but they only ship to Europe.

  • @tazminmoore455
    @tazminmoore455 3 года назад +1

    They're so pretty 😍. They remind me of Dahlias. Your packaging is very professional looking😀. Thanks for sharing! I bought some of the Top Pro resin for commission coasters but I haven't used it yet. It seems somewhat complicated to use from the comments after contacting Resin Pro for advice. They told me I have to pour a thin layer of clear resin over my coasters, wait 12 hours and then pour over the Top Pro and not to use a heat gun for bubbles. Is that correct?

    • @LouiseSingletonCreations
      @LouiseSingletonCreations  3 года назад

      Thank you very much. That does sound complicated! I do sometimes use a heat gun but only a tiny bit. You just need to do your coasters as normal with your usual resin and once it has cured add a top layer of Top Pro. Just be careful with the ratio, I think it is 1/0.8 so I weigh my part A divide that number by 10 the multiply by 8 for part B

    This is the first I’ve watched of your videos. Very informative and the coasters are beautiful! One question that has always bothered me though - after the cost of the resin and materials for your pieces, is the time and money sent on packaging worth it? I’ve done art fairs for years (with a totally different medium!), and packaging like that would be cost prohibitive, if I wanted to make any profit. I’d like to know your input on this. Thanks for the great video and I will be watching more in future!

    • @LouiseSingletonCreations
      @LouiseSingletonCreations  2 года назад +1

      Thank you Nanci. I don’t really make things with the intention to sell, most things are given as gifts even though I have a website. The packaging I make isn’t costly in materials but the time involved would add to the cost. I’ve found that if I sit and make a lot all in one go it’s a lot quicker.

  • @tracyjeffreys

    Thank you, Louise! I enjoy your videos so much And I’ve been curious about packaging for coasters as I’m thinking about making some. I’m fairly new to resin, actually, very new. The pieces that I’ve made have been thin pieces and most of them have had this scratchy, foggy looking area right in the center of the backside. You’ve talked about heat in this video and I’m wondering if maybe it’s due to that, getting too hot??? Are you familiar with what I’m talking about? I believe it has something to do with that second very thin layer that I poured. Thank you for any information you can give me, I appreciate it.

    • @LouiseSingletonCreations
      @LouiseSingletonCreations  2 года назад

      Hi Tracy, thank you for watching. I’m not entirely sure what is causing the fogginess in the middle, it could be that the two parts of resin have been under mixed. Does it happen in different moulds? If you are using one particular mould it could have a dull patch on it. Other than that it could be to do with room temperature or humidity or even a dodgy batch of resin. Sorry I couldn’t be more specific. I hope you find the answer.

    Simple but very pretty. I have a question. Does the spray varnish protect the small border of the Krylon rose gold on the top of the coaster when just the sides are sprayed? I love you videos. Thank you!

    • @LouiseSingletonCreations
      @LouiseSingletonCreations  3 года назад

      Very good question. The varnish does tend to bleed in between the coasters so yes it probably is safe but in all honesty possibly not 100%. If you want to be completely certain you can spray varnish into the can lid then apply with a paintbrush. Xx
