I cut my rc4wd bfgoodrich edition in half and extended the frame 65mm for a crew cab long box dually hard body and put a v plow on it now I just have a rc4wd d90 for my trail truck

I used long 3mm setscrews . Its a popular older mod so you can just pop the body on and off over them. they are a headless screw if you don't know what a set screw is
hey man...cool channel..i like how you do your videos...i have a question..i see you went to install the 35kg servo from amazon but said it was weaker then the stock twister servo ur midnight tf2 came with..i have the rtr xtra cab aka the marty mcfly trail rigg but i havent taken her out yet bc im still waiting for a part from rc4wd...i hear people talk shit about the esc and servo, but you like the esc and servo and i realized i got the same stock esc and stock servo as you...i was thinking of getting that b25 kg servo but do you think i should run the stock servo and stock esc over upgrading to a 35kg? or 1080 ecs?.....i only do trail; runs my friend...sorry for the long question..i just wanted to ask you bc you seem very studios on these topics..any feed back is greatly appreciated...oh new subb #139
hey thanks for the comments . my father in law put the redcat lights in his and I like the trick rc one better . I haven't found a great servo yet . I tried out the an eco power high torque one that seems to be equal to the rc4wd servo that stock servo is actually pretty good . the esc works really well , I dont see any reason to replace it . but I also switched the radio over to my spectrum and the esc works really well with it . also the redcat esc works a lot better on the spectrum radio as well
@@MyRClive oh hey brother...i also love the mytrick rc light set up i have as well..i put mines in my axe body gen-8 pack build, they discontinued the pack kits..it was a great buy at 150$..on my gen-8 scout 2 orange and my jeep cherokee hard body gen-8 and axe international body gen-8 i run a 1080 esc/a 21-t trailmaster sport 550 motor in one and a 12-t crawl-master sport 550 in another and a 27-t trail-master sport 550 in another,i love the ssd axle mounts best outta all the axle mounts the key right into the axle, i also use the joe8 brace mod by exocaged where the brace screws into the left top corner diff screw hole and the to the pan hard exocaged rc has a video on it..besides that amazon has some great brass outer portal cover 4 for 30$ bucks..mfr has a nice 4 lower link brass set for cheap as well..for the foams i use to run the little nova comp cut 4.5s but spending 45$ for foams got a little pricey so i use ''hair bun donut styler''don't laugh but there the things a lady uses to make a bun on the top of her head..youtube has some great videos on it..my hobby shop laughed as well last year now they sell them in there store pretty cheap to get around 3 or 4$ bucks so for 10 to 12 $ sets up a trail truck good instead of 45$..the 1080-esc for 40$ with a holmes 5-slot 12-t trail-master sport is a great bad ass combo nice and smooth plus a 5-slot and for 60$ bucks you just cant beat it...i use 100-cst oil for that nice body articulation when ur going over stuff on the trails 100-cst oil is the same as 10-weight after trying 45 and 30 to 20 ill never use nothing but the 100-cst oil just a great shock oil...sorry for the long message i seen you got a gen-8 and just wanted to fill you in brother the ssd links are a must man and for 30$ bucks there well made a lot of great info on the redcat gen-8 facebook group but you do have some ass holes so just be careful living in there momma's basement with no wife or daughter or son turns them into internet trolls sometimes...besides that i have a small channel you should check it out..no need to subb unless it interest you i just talk about rc stuff show some budget buys online and i also collect stuff from the 1980's and 90's i'm a 1981 baby the golden era so i love all that stuff.....take care and blessings to you and your family
@@MyRClive You need a esc that is capable of putting out 7.4v, that is why you aren't seeing a difference in the servos you are installing, they are all running at 5.5v.
the 1080 is definitely better and its cheep . and I realize now that the servo sucked with the stock esc because of the BEC voltage... now I have one of them fusions from hobbywing in there but also put a holmes hobbies steering servo , but the steering had super bad geometry because of the leaf springs . so I ended up three linking it in the front . wich made the steering a bunch better. but that Holmes hobbies servo is in there now lol . iv been thinking about stripping her into a slider and selling.

What do you have screwed into your body mount posts? Is that for quick removal of the hard body? Please share the details on that mod.
