    So I don’t notice any pain when inhaling, exhaling or coughing. But having this sharp shooting pain in left side of my chest along with a dull achy pain. But I can touch a hotspot just left of my sternum and upper rib that if I touch with my finger it’s very sensitive. Does it sound right?

    How are you doing! I appreciate the feedback. I wanted to know can this condition cause headaches. I know that it’s link to SOB, I just was not sure if this can also cause headaches.
    I have the severe chest pain that is triggered when palpating. I have the pain that radiates to my upper back. I’ve went to the ER twice (everything was good). So I’m pretty sure this is the link. But, the headaches are confusing me

    • @Synergywellnessny
      @Synergywellnessny  2 года назад +4

      Headaches are more likely a result of your upper back tension which can increase the likelihood of developing Costochondritis. Both your upper back and chest wall need to be addressed. Try the Costochondritis stretch videos we made. There’s one with 3 exc and one with 22 of them.

    Hello Doctor. Thank you so much for the details you shared in the video. I would just like your first instinct opinion on the below:
    My girlfriend has similar pain and she has visited doctors and got tested for heart related issues and rheumatoid arthritis and she has none of those probs. none of the imaging or blood tests showed any Lung, Digestive or heart related concerns. She did however go through a lot of extreme stress and anxiety over the last 3 - 4 years. her pain usually starts in the middle of her chest and extends into both her arms as far as the hands. The pain is extreme and at times takes almost a full day to go away. At times she is in so much pain that she cannot hold herself in any position for more than a minute and literally gets to a point where she does not even have the strength and energy to get up go to the kitchen and get a glass of water if I am not available, and just lies there for a while before she can have the courage and strength to get up and walk to the kitchen.
    Would it be safe to assume she has Costochondritis?

    have this or Tietze syndrome for 5-6 years. I did PT for over a year, they did an x-ray and told me I have more ribs out of place than anyone they've ever had, they said 6-7 ribs. I went to an osteopathic medicine for several months for adjustments and did nothing. I just got my first nerve blocker right into the sternum at rib 2, Changed my life for about 2 weeks. Now the cracking, snapping and popping is back. ALWAYS WEIGHTLIFT WITH PROPER FORM! BTW I'm 19. Id do anything for this to go away. Do you know if chiropractors are normally covered by insurance????

      @@Synergywellnessny Good advice, but chiropractors differ SO much. I went to some that were way into New Age stuff. Find a good one and they are good as gold. @@Synergywellnessny How do you find a good chiropractor? Do you have a video on that? I went to some that had no equipment and were way into New Age stuff. What do I ask them or ask to see?

    • @Synergywellnessny
      @Synergywellnessny  2 года назад +1

      @@noahway13 great question , I don’t understand this new age chiro stuff. You can ask where they went to school but that’s not always a tell tale sign. The best schools they are more science based are Palmer chiropractic, ny chiropractic college, life university, and Logan chiropractic.
      It’s hard, you’ll need to do your own research and see which is the right fit for you. That being said a chiropractor that’s licensed or certified in cox technique might be better fit for someone with disc injuries or nerve impingement. If you have a shoulder or extremity injury then a chiro that has a CCEP certification is a huge plus. There are many additional certifications that lic. Chiropractors can get after graduation and that tells you a lot about there style and expertise. Hope that helps. Ps/ ccep stands for certified chiropractic extremities practitioner.

    I was diagnosed with Costochondritis by a doctor a week ago. It started with heavy chest pain which took me to ER twice. That was 7 months ago, 4 months after severe Covid double pneumonia. I was in hospital a month and needed a lot of hot condensed oxygen. I don't have much chest pain now, but when chest is palpated it hurts a lot. I have a lot more pain in my upper back. Between my shoulder blades and also along shoulder lines is quite severe on both sides. What is the most severe is upper arm pain at the point where you have injections in both arms. It stops me doing a lot. I also am unable to stretch my arms out fully. I haven't yet seen someone talking about arm pain being part of Costochondritis. Is it? Do you have any thoughts and ideas for me? It's seriously disrupting my life especially since I also have other horrid long haul covid symptoms.. I would greatly appreciate your advice. TIA.

    Hi Doctor, thanks for the information. My 13 year old daughter has been diagnosed with costochondritis. The symptoms started at her new secondary/middle school this year March. I am now convinced that the cause has to be the extremely heavy school bag they have to carry on their backs daily with all subject books in it until school is dismissed. It is a private school and they get all subjects everyday and our daughter is a bit scrawny, her bag straps covers the area mentioned. Please advise if this sounds like an accurate diagnosis of the cause of her costochondritis?

    • @Synergywellnessny
      @Synergywellnessny  Год назад +2

      Hard for me to diagnose over the Internet. You can do a telehealth visit where we can meet online. If it is she needs to carry a lighter bag. Ask a doctor for a note for school for her. She w can also get a rolling bag. And then get her to a chiropractor to address it.

      @@Synergywellnessny wow Doctor I did not expect such a swift response, thank you so much for this. I actually wrote a letter to the school which she will be taking with her today for a possible solution which they may be able to advise on. We will also be doing a follow up visit to a GP before month end in which I will be requesting for a letter as you have mentioned. I have not thought of taking her to a chiropractor yet and will certainly consider this if I do not succeed with the smart idea you have mentioned for her to use a bag with wheels. Her exams will be over this Friday, and her recovery so far is positive, she is on day 21 with a lot less pain than before with the medication she has been given by a cardiologist. I sincerely thank you for your swift response 🙏❤️God bless you Doctor

    Hi I'm having shifting chest pain ... Particularily in left upper chest and tingling sensations and nerve pain, lump in the throat feeling, gastric issues , breathing issues since 2 months ..... The first time I had a chest pain I thought it's from the heart. I have done 3 ECGs , echocardiogram, Heart and lungs CT scan, endoscopy ,CBC count etc but nothing came out my heart was fine.. Drs say it's anxiety, depression disorder, fibromyalgia and what not... But I kept on doing my research can came accross people who had similar symptoms as mine and they suggested checking vit d and B12 levels... So I did my complete vit test... All the vit were fine but vit d was extremely low (it was at12). I'm on supplements since 2-3 week ... My tingling sensations are gone but other symptoms including the chest pain are still there... Today I was doing jumping jacks as it helps me with gastric pain relief, when I again felt the same pain on the left upper chest and my left upper back.... When the pain comes and I try to touch that particular area and press it a bit, the chest feels sore and tender... Also my breast muscle also feel painful and sore sometimes. Can this be due to costochondritis? Can vit d be responsible for costochondritis?
    If yes then what are the treatment options?
