With this type of models, especially if there are a LOT of hair tips, I will usually just flip the head around so that the tips are facing upwards. Yes, there is going to be a bit of scarring on the top of the head but if I use numerous but fine supports (

I'm the 10% that can model my 3D models and I ran into the exact challenges you mentioned loool.
Support upside down? Loss of detail on head.
Support hair that's still attached to head like this? Pain.
I learnt to cut my hair properly real fast. Lmao.

Thankyou Denny’s, I learn alot from this live series. Can your next video be about AA in lychee? I can’t completely remove the voxel like I can in chirubox with my mighty 8k.

Love your Vids. Why would you not have supported this with head down, face facing up at about 20-30 degrees where the hair would form with gravity? Angles dont look like they exceed printers capabilities till the tips. Is it to have shorter supports? Is it possible to see the print after doing these tutorials to see if it works?

But still it is not elegant 🤣

Interesting. I would have oriented it upside down and used heavy and/or medium supports on the top part of the head where it's hidden, then used light the rest of the way around certain parts of the hair, which might not need many because parts could be self supporting.

You will end up damaging the hair details at the top.
But if it works for you. Then go for it.

@@wangdennys If you're talking about pockmarks, I go in with clippers and manually trim. I'd rather do that than break the strands. Just my opinion though

@@laserclowns8402 as long as it works for you.
But fixing break strand is easier, than damaging hair strokes detail.
This is anime hair, quite easy to fix. But for realistic headsculpt, no luck to fix the hairs details from the marks.
