I actually like this group, as a sit down discussion. They're chill, not over-acted, genuinely surprised and a touch of awkward. My kind of paranormal/occult/bizzarre review crew.
As a person with ADHD with sibling with ADHD raised by a mom with ADHD, I literally thought, "oh he probably had ADHD." People with our neurotype tend to [struggle] in rigid environments that force you to complete tasks according to strict deadlines regardless of motivation (e.g., public school, corporate office). But when allowed the freedom to work according to our passions, we can be overachievers like ol' Ben here. The defining feature of ADHD is the need for mental stimulation because we get bored easily. Everyone in my family has had a million different jobs. My mom has been a realtor, managed a doctor's office, was a dental hygienist, was a substitute teacher, ran a nonprofit, etc. [EDIT: typo (wrong word)]* * I noticed the typo after posting my comment. I read your comment, got excited to respond, responded, reread it, then edited it. This is an excellent representation of how my ADHD brain works.
Oh, last thing I'll say, but there is a lot of overlap between ADHD traits and antisocial personality (sometimes called sociopathy or psychopathy, but not in medical fields anymore). People with antisocial personality also get bored very easily and need lots of mental stimulation. For example, a neurotypical, abled person or a person with hypersensitive nerves (e.g., anxiety, PTSD) might get a thrill from what some people call "vanilla" sex. A person with ADHD or antisocial personality might need group sex or sex outside while trespassing on an industrial site to really feel anything. The big difference is our experience of emotions. People with ADHD tend to have emotions in overdrive. I have a lot of feelings. People with antisocial personality tend to have limited or low affect (e.g., don't feel much fear, guilt, shame, embarrassment, happiness). But they might still fake it and appear very glib and charming. It's hard to know with someone like Franklin. With how unique his mind was, though, I think it's safe to say he was probably neurodivergent in some way.
