Hi Amri. I have been studying your videos and need help with this question for an upcoming interview next week for a Coordinator position. "Briefly describe your educational background and professional experiences that have prepared you for this position." Should I answer this question as the question "Tell me about yourself." ....Should I use the STAR method here? Second question I am having trouble with is, "How would I convince my team to work on a project they are not thrilled about? What would I do to get them on board? If you could refer me to a specific video, where you mention this related question, I would appreciate very much. Thank you in advance for your assistance.
Literally just done an interview...I feel like it went well because I was applying your advice, especially using the STAR model to structure competency questions...I'll update outcome but, keep doing this please!!👏👏👏👏👏
@@amricelesteinterviewcoach Thank you so much Amri, I applied your wisdom and got a positive result!!🎊🎊🙏🏾 I've been invited to the next stage of group assessment interviews. How can I best prepare as I sometimes get nervous speaking in front of large groups?😅

Hi, in the first question, you mentioned the interviewer is asking about specific areas of your background as opposed to an open question like 'Tell me about yourself' - although the answer is similar I would recommend you focus your answer more on those specific areas they've asked about - essentially the question is 'Tell me about your *relevant* experience' as opposed to 'tell me about yourself'. For your second question I would recommend this video answering 'Tell me about a time you motivated others: ruclips.net/video/AzfTlffs5rU/видео.html Best of Luck!
Have you had a time in an interview when the candidate asked if they could bring index cards they took notes on to the interview and what are your thoughts on that?
No, I haven't but I think it would depend on the individual interviewer, and their opinions will vary. I would imagine some would prefer you do any research beforehand and some may not mind - I recommend sending a quick email over before you start interview prep to check.
Thanks for watching, do you have any questions about the role you're interviewing for?
