If you are having trouble with Frosty or the website link doesn't work for the frosty website try the github link as that always has the latest version (make sure you download the mod manager and not the toolsuite. Toolsuite is only needed if you're going to build/make your own mods): github.com/CadeEvs/FrostyToolsuite/releases

I'd like to try Paulv2k4's gameplay mod, it looks cool and everything but when I saw that the Frosty Tool suite doesn't have an official website I preferred not to install it, the only solution for me is to wait for the FiFer Realism Mod to become free, I'm sure FiFer doesn't allow you to pay for just one mod and have to pay for the whole package of mods, for me what matters most is the gameplay mod the other mods are a bonus but the gameplay mod is the main one, and having to pay monthly I don't agree with that but I understand, however FiFer Realism Mod the team does a fantastic job, although I'm going to use the free version afterwards which I have no idea when it will be released I'm going to pay for their work, if I could pay monthly I would do it without any problems but life here in my country has become more expensive.

Literally, I have been so spoiled by my experience modding Skyrim using NMM and now Vortex.
dude im honestly so upset that everythings switching over to frosty, daimod works perfectly for me no matter what but ive spent countless hours trying to use frosty, watched dozens of troubleshooting videos, uninstalled and reinstalled, tried different mods, everything n still not a single frosty mod has cooperated for me.

Lol true. MO2 and Loot have seriously spoiled me. I have over 250 mods in Skyrim including ESLs. I just want some pretty hair and to skip war table times in this game.

Thank you for this video! I'm not super experienced when it comes to modding games and I've heard so many horror stories about modding Dragon Age Inquisition that I've always kind of avoided it, but this video gave me the courage to finally give it a try 😂 And it's actually not as bad as I thought. Granted, I've only downloaded one seemingly simple mod so far, but still haha. I'm gonna look into getting some more nice mods for Inquisition now (:

Also PSA: If you were running an old version of frosty and upgraded to the new one, and get the error :
" Unexpected error occurred - Object reference not set to an instance of an object."
when selecting your game when you run the new updated Frosty, just Validate your game files and try again! worked for me

I'm about 2/3 of the way through playing DA2 -because obviously I started replaying all the DA games the SECOND I saw the Dread Wolf trailer- so I cannot possibly express how grateful I am for this. I've played with Skyrim and *some* Cyberpunk mods, but I've never used Frosty and I've never modded DAI...Which I feel is a must (considering how many times I've played the vanilla on Consoles before). Also totally been binging your vids.
I'm hopeful that maybe if I mod the shit outta Andromeda after Inq (cuz DW won't be out by then...?) I'll finally be able to like it as much as I always wanted to 🥲

Thanks for updating this! Now that Dreadwolf is looming on the horizon, hopefully this is the time where I'm finally able to finish Inquisition! Something always happens and I lose track of everything I've done and decisions I've made. Maybe there's a journal mod...?

Thanks for the video. Nicely done and easy to understand. My experience with Frosty MM has been LOTS trial and error these past few days. Ended up using Origin and have found that my mods load fine IF not only Frosty but Origin AND DAI are set to run as administrator AND are set as exceptions in Windows Defender. BUT when reaching Haven game assets are not loading: blacksmith, sawmill, sometime Chantry interior; then there is the conversation with Solas outside his quarters that goes whack. Not asking here for a solution did that on the Frosty discord just saying that something isn't working well with Origin. Have run DAI without mods also this week and Origin works fine. Oh, also tried DAI MM, had same issues with it, the MM worked fine but game assets not loading.

I did the run as administrator on Frosty then deleted the ModData folder in Dragon age inquisition. It worked.

Love your videos! Do you have any suggestions on load order for mods? Like a generalized load order (Ex: I know in Skyrim you want to put certain categories above others)
I mean if you really wanted you could apply skyrim modding principles to it but honestly I only pay attention to it if I have 2 cosmetic mods or mods that do similar things and I want to ensure one takes priority over the other!
I don't have an option to change launch platform. I'm using Frosty Mod Manager v1.0.6.3. Any recommendations?

Hi! Thank you so much for the video! Withouth it I would have gotten nowhere with modding DAI! I have been getting a small problem and Im not quite sure how to solve it though I have vague memories of seeing a solution somewhere? Im noticing some of my frosty mods work while others don't. In this case it is an Skyhold clothes changer, and a recolour. The Skyhold mod is version 2 while the recolour is v1.0. The recolour is not showing up on my character while the new clothes are, and I was wondering, is there a way to increase the version number so it might show up? (It is my only theory so far to what might be wrong after a lot of troubleshooting)

I started using Frosty this year when I fired up Andromeda for the first time and really like how it handles the modding experience. When I was going to do a fresh DAI run, I spent time installing Frosty versions of my most beloved mods into the mod manager and was honestly surprised at how much better it was to use than the old DAImod mgr.
And fwiw: great looking Ryder! We use a lot of the same Andromeda mods (I went with the big fat french braid)!

I’ve been having issues using mods and frosty with this game forever. Been trying again follow guides and still issues with frosty. I’ll try this today, fingers crossed. 10th time is the charm.
Really nice video,I downloaded latest version of frosty and it still asks me to update to new version,also how did u get morigan armour
so ive been trying to mod dai and im having a few problems with frostymm so when i hit launch it closes my steam then reopens it to close it again then to be stuck on waiting for dragonageinquisition ive stopped it multiple times and restarted it ive swapped over the ea launcher and it still does the same thing where it will clsoe it open it but atleast it stays open this time (edit) ive went to the discord and had no access to anything and couldnt find out how to gain access to ask this question
Genuine question here! I did everything right down to the T and tried to delete the ModData folder to see if that would help but that isn't even there. What do I do? The game won't start from the Frost Mod Manager and I am still troubleshooting it.
Edit: Nevermind I rewatched and tried opening it with admin and it worked. Thank you so much for all of the thorough and easy to understand guides you are the best!!!

The issues starts mostly after EA rename his plattform from Origin to EA App. I don´t have any problems before under Origins no problem at all.

Got a question about Mass Effect Andromeda?
The Frosty Manager works so far now, but when I do the missions on planets, I only ever wear normal armor.
Casual wear works, but armor doesn't.
Also on the ship where you can change the clothing and armor, nothing happens there either.
Don't know what else to do.
In your gameplay video you have a different armor from the start.
Please for your help.

Still no luck, keep getting an error saying no access or path. It’s weird because every time it’s a different file. But most seem to be ones inside games patch folder.
If anyone can help at all it would be appreciated, everytime I try to launch dragon age inquisition (on anything, through frosty mod manager, through steam, through the ea app) it won't launch. On frosty it has an infinite "waiting for dragon age inquisition" loading screen, on steam it'll say it's playing and then suddenly stop, and on the ea app absolutely nothing happens when I click play. It is insanely frustrating and I can't figure out what the problem is.
Hello! I just got a new gaming pc and for some reason frosty wont load when I hit "select" it freezes and then closes the whole thing. I'm not sure why its not working seeing as with my old pc it worked perfectly. I'm not sure if anyone else has had this issue. I have even uninstalled everything and reinstalled and it still wont work. Frosty is the only way I can mod my game with the mods I was using before...so I'm kind of really bummed about it.
UPDATE: It finally loaded and it worked for a little bit until I tried to merge DAI mods with frosty and then everything stopped working. I deleted DAI mod manager and everything and tried to restart but the mods just wont work anymore and I've even went as far as to repair my game, delete and reinstall frosty and all my mods, and delete everything that involves the game and nothing seems to work. It worked perfectly on my last pc but this one it just seems to not want to work.
I need help with this and nobody on Nexus is responding..I've downloading a hairstyle and armor mod for Frosty, got both installed, ticked and pretty much followed this video..yet my mods aren't showing up in-game? Still have vanilla armor and no new hairstyles.
It's my first time modding Andromeda and the Frosty website says it's under maintenance. I have no idea if it's been under maintenance for a few hours, a couple days, or if it's just been abandoned and left to rot. Is there an alternative location where I can download the FMM or should I wait for its maintenance to complete?
Hey there! Thank you for the tutorial, it helps a lot while getting into the start of things. However im running into an issue with the secondary window to add in the mods for the game you select. I'll select my game (in this case Dragon Age Inquisition) and the mods installation browser load in will pop up for a second and then crash. Ive restarted my computer (2 months old, running windows 11) and tried multiple times to see if it was a first start up issue. Any idea how to get around this or fix it? Thanks!
Do you have any other frosty games you can try it for like MEA? just to see if it's a DA thing or a Frosty overall problem? You could check in with the Frosty Discord to see if other people have had that problem as well!

That's the mod manager itself and should be time stamped on how to install it!
@@FoodThenGames Ah ok. I already have the manager running, the only thing that irritates me is that some mods have "Frosty Tool Suite for MEA" as a requirement and there is only a dll file (bcrypt.dll) to download. So this is no longer needed, right?

I set Frosty up and it seems to work fine mostly. I added the option to launch with EA app and it is finicky but it works. The issue I have is after I close the game, Frosty still has the waiting for game window open and I can't close it so I have to use task manager to end task. I also can't drag any mods at all in an archive or not onto the manager to import. Any advice? Thanks
The force quitting is something I have to do all the time and just seems to be par for the course right now. For not being able to install mods via dragging the archive you'll just have to do what was mentioned in the video by opening and dragging and dropping, then installing! It's all just the quirks of Frosty Mod Manager 😂
The game won't launch from Frosty mod manager after I set the launch parameters for steam and EA App. It goes to the EA App and not the actual game.
There was a recent EA App update for steam that fudged with things and a lot of people are having issues now using Frosty with Steam. Sadly I have no idea how to fix it currently however if you're trying to mod dai the .daimods should still work!

I've run into a problem, all of my frosty mods work and show up in the game except for any hair mods. I've tried different hair mods and I have my mesh setting set to ultra and launch from Frosty but they won't show up in-game and I don't know what else to do.
Edit: For anyone else having this problem, I have found the solution that personally works for me. In the Frosty manager, I went to the tools tab in the upper left, clicked options, clicked launch options, checked yes to the platform launching enable box, then chose to launch with the EADesktop option in the dropdown menu to the right of the words Platform.

Most of my cosmetic mods at this point are still .dai as the game is more stable for me that way so I don't believe I can! There is a mod to help with that on nexus but I've never tried it before.

I have a question though--I switched the launch platform to EA app from Origin, but I get this frosty error message:
An unhandled exception has occurred. Access to the path (where inquisitions exe is saved) is denied.
There's more, but does that mean anything to anyone?
try running as an admin to see if that fixes it!
Tried everything but still couldnt manage for the mods to show up in game....
What is it says: "Update profile SDK" and down: Waiting for procces to become active(stand on this one, and does not move down), scaning for type into offset, Dumpyng types from memory Cross referencing assets and creating SDK.
Okay I need help so I just started to mod this game and one problem I’m having is in the frosty mod launcher won’t load, and I went to go delete mod data and mod data wasn’t there am I doing something wrong? I’m doing this through the ea app btw.

unfortunately frosty wont work for me, i already tried so many things... but when I press launch it only starts steam/ ea over and over again, but not the game itself :(
Recently it seems that people are having an issue with Frosty + EA App + Steam -- if you haven't yet I'd highly suggest trying just .daimods as those should still work!
Is anyone modding mass effect andromeda on a steam deck? The mod manager can’t launch the game and idk what launch options to do in MEA settings to work around that
What's better to use for modding dai? There are some older mods I'm interested in using but they've either haven't been updated because the game is old or don't have a frosty version so idk if they'll work with frosty because like you said, it's v finicky
I personally use both DAI + Frosty. I find that I can get what I want better that way!
since ea slapped origin - you need the frosty fix aswell - for me, its to much shizzler to do! ill 'lay andromeda in vanilla now

Can you help me? I did exactly what you did and my game is opening well, but the mods aren't showing up in DAI. They are appearing in "Applied mods".
Whenever I try to open the settings to change the platform launch option I get "Frosty Mod Manager has stopped working" and it crashes. It also crashes if I try to add any mods and sometimes it crashes when I do nothing at all. I haven't even been able to test it yet because it crashes before I can even get to the point of launching the game and it doesn't give any error codes or exceptions beyond "stopped working".
I am running as admin, i have all necessary programs installed, the folders aren't set to read only, I am using the version of frosty listed here, and I have tried various troubleshooting tips I've seen around the internet.
Unfortunately, I haven't been able find anyone else having the issue. Does anyone know why this is happening and how to fix it? :(

Hi! I love your videos. I finally managed to get both daimm and fmm to work together. One question though, is it possible to somehow get the game to recognise my gamepad when launching through FMM? When I launch through steam it does but not when launching through Frosty.
I'm so happy it all works together for you! For the gamepad issue I'd suggest checking in the frosty discord as they might have a solution for it!
@@FoodThenGames I just installed DS4Windows I had it installed for previous runs and forgot about it. Ah one thing! I think it'd be good to add to the desc that steam users make sure they have Frosty version 1.0.6.3 since that fixed every single problem with launching the game, Frosty Fix is no longer needed not even datapathfix.

Hi, i noticed that a lot of mods for ME Andromeda consist of 2 files: 1x fbmod-file and 1x archive-file (the archive file usually has the textures in it). How can i unpack & repack those archive-files? (i'm not talking about ZIP or RAR files, it's literally a file with the ".archive" ending which can NOT be unpacked with RAR / 7zip etc.). According to Google i can unpack those files with a Modtool for Cyberpunk 2077, but that can't be what people used when they made those mods?
I believe I just drag and drop both of them in or you can manually put them where frosty stores your mods within the frosty folder! For those mods you don’t need to repack them they should just work as long as you drag and drop them together or manually add them together!
Hello hello, I have a little problem with this mod Inquisitor Unleashed - FROSTY ONLY , it says that it might not work with this version of the game and I can't do anything with it, any ideas?

Did you change the launch platform? That's been a common reason for them not showing!

@@FoodThenGames Oh, thanks for your answer. I did, sadly, and it still doesn't work; then I used frosty fix, and then later the plugin DatapathFix (that makes my game launch in 7mins) and nothing :( but Daitools works tho so it's a mystery
