    Thanks! Got my first baitcaster yesterday after 15 years of fishing with a normal fishing reel. Got a couple of birds nests here and there today, will be trying this out tomorrow!

    Thinking of giving this a go very informative any recommendations for a abu or Chinese?

    • @FishNFeast

      Get you a slx it’s perfect for starters

    My lures keep snapping off too why is that? What knot you recommend?

    For a beginner would you suggest this or a water hellcat?

    • @FishNFeast
      @FishNFeast  2 месяца назад

      Honestly if you want to learn spool control and how to feather the spool with your thumb I’d say the Abu but if you just want to dive right in and use a Baitcaster with less backlash I’d go with the Hellcat

    What type of line do you recommend for beginners braid/mono and weight

    • @FishNFeast
      @FishNFeast  2 месяца назад +1

      @@redbone9952 I’d use braid 17 lb it’s great for anything just use a flouro leader for sinking lures

    • @MF-Rell
      @MF-Rell 20 дней назад

      30lb braid

    Is it better to make your rod or buy a combo

    • @FishNFeast
      @FishNFeast  2 месяца назад +1

      Ether or really just depends on what your looking for it’s more fun to build your own tho

    How about the drag? It effects the cast and backlash. At least it did for me. I sent my naitcaster back headache

      It can in certain reels but mostly just when setting up

    • @FishNFeast
      @FishNFeast  3 месяца назад

      Depends on what you’re fishing for but most time 15lb braid or 12 lb floral carbon
