I came across this video last month, and thought it was a great idea. I built this camp shower following your instructions and it works like a charm. I just returned from a 10-day camping trip, and this thing was a game changer! Great for showering, washing & rinsing the dishes, even hosing the dust and grime off the car. One change I made that I recommend - I substituted a rechargeable battery-powered air pump for the hand pump. It took me way too long to get the can up to an acceptable pressure with the hand pump. A $24 air pump solved the problem. A great video, thanks for the idea.
Wow, thanks for taking the time to follow up.. having that convenient rechargeable pump is an awesome idea especially for as little of a task that it needs to be besides pumping it… Shoot me a link to that pump if you have time.
Thanks for this tutorial. I watched it last week and just put it together using your parts list with some variation in the water system connectors that I could find. It does work like you described. I can get about two and a half minutes of constant jet stream from it before it starts getting low. I can imagine using it for a camp shower will last more by using shower mode. I did find that 15 PSI was what I thought was needed for using it as a power washer. My build also has an air leak somewhere so I may not have sealed it as best as I could, but then I can just pump it up some more. Thanks again.
Hey mike! Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment. See the description for material list and links.. my wife was the incentive.: this thing works great !

Two quick questions: 1. When you place and seal the washer drain valve on the cap, what considerations should we have that effect the final spout placement? 2. Instead of using the 1/2” PVC as a dip tube, could a person use some of the same food-safe hose (that you use for showering) as a dip tube? If yes, any fitting changes to consider when mounting? Thank you so much for sharing!!! I found your video just in time!
Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment! 1) Since the drain is 90 deg it should function properly at nearly any angle, but what I would do prior to permanently affixing is tighten the cap and then orientate the drain opening as seen @ 6:10 in the video for easy access of disconnect/connect. 2) yes you could affix a hose, but they tend to float around and be out of position when the water gets low and/or kink, which could construct your flow. Till it’s empty… How long is up to you and how much throttle you have applied.. I’ve tested it at about a gallon per minute with the shower and wide open.. it’s enough two people to 3 light rinse showers.. (essential parts and hair) pair that with dude wipes and you’re set for a good weekend to a week.
One thing I can't seem to gather from all the videos that show the presurized SCEPTER can at 15psi, is how much pressurized water do you get after pressurization? 1/2 gallon, 1 gallon. Any way you can do a video where you show continuous pour in real time? I wanna see how often I need to repressure the tank. This will give me the proper means to repressurize. hand pump would suck but if you were only doing that per 4 gallons, that wouldnt suck as much as if you were re-pumping it every 1/4 gallon.
Full Open nozzle with 4gal at 15psi is approx 4mins of run time and one 15psi charge will empty the can. If you’re washing your essentials… Two people can use the can most of the weekend. Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment.
I bought the JAGMTE cap. After repeated repressurizations at 15psi, the most I can get is 2 minutes of decent pressure and two gallons of water before I have to repressurize. Maybe I got a defect.
It sounds like you have an air leak somewhere in your fitting or cap… I do know the JAGMTE caps do not come with an O-ring… If you order a cap from scepter specific it will have an O-ring and that may solve your problem… You may spray your cap and components with soapy water to reveal the leak… I have no problem emptying my can with a 15 psi charge and 4 gallons in the can. Contact scepter and get an O-ring… It may even be a generic size you can get at a hardware store
I bought the 50ft length from a garden store and cut it down to 10ft. I’ve made 3 cans so far so I still have about 20ft of hose left for 2 more. You can make it what ever length suits your needs.. my bed is 5ft and I put it up against the head of the bed, from there I can generally access any point of the vehicle with that length without taking it out of the bed.

@@GatorOverland the only question that came to mind is how long does it take to pressurize the container using the bicycle pump? I try and keep things as simple as possible... thank you!
@@stacky512a it would depend on how much water is left in the tank… Less water would mean more pumping… Also depends on the size of your pump… With that small bicycle pump it takes about a minute or so to get to 15 psi… 15 psi will typically empty the entire jug and/or last long enough to rinse off
@@GatorOverland only a minute or so? That's actually incredible. I was thinking more like 5 minutes of constant pumping. Thank you for responding. I "liked and subscribed!"
One could assume… I actually tested the max and the O-ring gives way about 40 psi… 25 psi is more than enough to empty 5 gallons of water without re-pressurizing. The plastic that these scepter cans are made of is robust…
That sealant isn't safe for this purpose. "Not intended for continuous underwater use.". The company that makes this doesn't even have a website. I would question the use of this sealant or any silicon that makes continuous contact with food. That said I don't know if there is an alternative solution for this build. Other than for use as non potable.
Not sure what’s up with the websites right now to be honest… You don’t have to use the sealant, it’s is overkill optional. Prior to this knowledge it is a USDA approved food contact safe sealant. Thanks for pointing that out. We use it as a non-potable water source. conspecmaterials.com/shop/sealants/silicone-sealants/silco-sil-bond-4500-rtv-silicone/

Ordered the kit from JAGMTE. Unfortunately they didn't take much care when assembling. There are stickers and thread seal tape rather sloppily attached to the parts and also hanging in the tubing. I would have much rather assembled it myself and taking more care to the details.
Thanks for taking the time to reach out… It seems quality control these days can vary, even from respected brands. The good thing about this assembly is it’s all parts you can get at the hardware store so if you need to fix anything it can be done easily.. let me know how it works for you
Where can you get you water nozzle? Can you please send a link? Also what is the diameter of hose connection? Just want to make sure I get the right connection to mate with Jagmite product. I also wanted to ask about the arb depressure tool. Do you have a link to that?
Hey! Thanks for reaching out. This should be everything you need. All the depressurization tool is, is a lock on tire chuck that I use to fill my tires..

Any suggestions on a dip stick that would be drinking safe?
Maybe a plastic dowel rod? Not real sure
The arb is an oil-less operation..
Thanks Matt… The ARB is an oilless operation.. I’m sure there is still a margin of concern, but then again how much do I trust the water that is coming out of the tap ?
Even if not, used for drinking water is still a great shower .

Great video! I want one of these for fishing season.
It’ll be great!! We used it at the last this weekend!
How long will it run continuously on one 15psi charge?
Till it’s empty… How long is up to you and how much throttle you have applied.. I’ve tested it at about a gallon per minute with the shower and wide open.. it’s enough two people to 3 light rinse showers.. (essential parts and hair) pair that with dude wipes and you’re set for a good weekend to a week.
Is one 15psi fill enough to get a quick shower done, or do you need to repressurize?
One 15psi fill is enough to empty the tank at most elevations.. about 4-5min depending on flow rate of nozzle
Great video, very informative!
Awesome! This one’s for you ! 🤘🏼
@@GatorOverland Okay, will try that. Thanks for the tip.
@@TheWuky22 How did this go?
AWESOME video!!
im curious have you used the hand pump to fully pump to the 15psi? how long did it take?
It’s about two minutes of pumping with a small bicycle pump… I would suggest a bigger bicycle pump😂
Great video
Thanks! Let me know if you have any questions !
@@GatorOverland You made it very simple so I will be looking into it
Question! Did you cut your hose down to a certain length or is that a fixed length from when you bought it? And how long is the length of your hose?
I bought the 50ft length from a garden store and cut it down to 10ft. I’ve made 3 cans so far so I still have about 20ft of hose left for 2 more. You can make it what ever length suits your needs.. my bed is 5ft and I put it up against the head of the bed, from there I can generally access any point of the vehicle with that length without taking it out of the bed.
@@GatorOverland thank u so much for responding. I loved the idea of this but am not very handy with tools so i shut down the idea of ever having one of these but your tutorial made it seem super easy so I pulled the trigger and got the pre built one. Super excited to put it together. Thank u so much for this!! This is a GAME CHANGER 🤘
Oh it absolutely is. Thanks for the kind comment! I actually ran into a viewer this weekend while wheeling in west Texas who was appreciative of how methodical I do my videos. They made their 4way inflate/deflate system base on my video. A lot of RUclips videos are brief and only touch certain points, but I figured if I’d provide all the info i can, there isn’t room for question, or at least one that can’t be resolved quickly or decided on your own. The main influence was my wife. We don’t have to take bucket baths anymore!

Hey man! Great content, thanks for your in-depth and well executed videos! I wanted to ask, have you heard about the recent recall of the Gladiator because of the "exploding clutch"? do you have any thoughts on that?
Yes I have… I have 29,000 Miles of smiles and no issues with my clutch yet… I haven’t had any symptoms either… I have brought it in for The recall and passed the stress test… If it should fail and I expect it to around 50,000 to 60,000 miles which is a common clutch replacement time… I will be upgrading to the center force.

Does the constant expansion from being pressurized damage the jug ? Or causes the water pressure to subside after so many uses ?
I’ve pressurized over 100 times or so, and on visible change or showing of deformation. Functions just like day one. Don’t go over 15psi and all will be good. My wife has her shower down to nearly a minute now.. 😂🤘🏼
@@GatorOverland dude you’re quick !Thanks for the speedy response. I did have one other question though. What’s your thoughts on the LCI jug/ the kit they have on Jagmte? I’m going camping for the long weekend and the scepter may not arrive on time.
From what I understand, LCI are interchangeable with scepter so you should be fine with the JAGMTE cap regardless of can choice.
Outstanding video! Thanks for sharing!

Good Stuff!

If it’s closer to empty I will take longer.. get a foot or tube bicycle pump to reduce pump time

Pretty cool. #JTRSPARTACUS
Wouldnt a metal can be better for pressurizing, with a plastic you get about 5 lbs of pressure.
We use it as a non-potable water source.

how long run time do you have if using hose on shower setting? i'm basically wanting to figure out if I can get around 1-2 minutes of total run-time for an actual shower...previous build used an RV pump, but this may be less hassle
Would love to know as well
5min max.. gal per min at full blast
Yeah, I wouldn't drink that water with a pvc tube... Food grade silicone tube is better
You make a good point for a potable water storage/use… PVC is not generally an issue unless it’s heated, but it’s better to be safe than sorry.
Please remove your sunglasses, if the sun is in your eyes, change position, have it off your shoulder. People take more notice from someone you can look into their eyes and slow down your speech. Works every time. But great system and I will definitely try it out.cheers Wiz

Just trying to fit in a bunch of info without taking up the viewers time. Thanks wiz… more content coming soon
Not safe. 1 you are adding comp oil to the water. 2 if it is over pressurizes it is explosive.
Settle down Rick. This is a dry compressor, no oil involved, and while over pressurizing is possible, the seal leaks at about 25psi.. you have more pressure in a super soaker. Just be mindful and you’ll be clean.. 🤝
