Maybe I'm in the minority here, but even an amazing city like this one still feels like it's missing the magic of cities made in the original game. I feel like there's a missing 'fun factor' in the new game.

@@XxHighwayUnicornxX even as a fan of colossal order, I just dont feel like being a mayor when playing cs1 and now cs2 seems to double down on this... missing the good old Simcity 4 days :(

@@PHTNGaming surely mods and assets will elevate the game, but its not the technical side that's lacking rather its the overall vibe
took me 30 minutes of fighting with the game to put a bridge in a place I wanted because it would not let me place a bridge "in the water" 🤣... then it crashed before autosaving 🤡
not playing this until next big patch ;D
Should be an option to include no parking on all assets. Hopefully thatll be a free update. The game looks bland cause parking fckin sucks.

Also, still using the smaller square zoning method (6 deep instead of 4) instead of Vector based zones?- It's almost 2024 guys what were they thinking? Squares cannot ever fill oddly-shaped lots, vectors do. It should have been built using vectors and procedurally generated buildings within those oddly shaped plots. This game is a massive F. If you wanted to build with squares like they used here, it should be an option, but there should also have been a vector based option for zoning.

@@PawelSorinsky . no "Patience" is a dumb thing to say regarding how the zoning will work as it is hard-wired into the game now.
Did they use the exact same tree models for fully grown tress from 10 years ago in CS1? Kind of looks like it.. and they don't auto-rotate for variety. Why are trees swaying around like a Hurricane is going on? Why is the water so bad with enormous waves all over the place? This is BASIC stuff to get right. This game is awful. This game is such an enormous disappointment. 50 bucks, when you know you will need DLC to make it good and it might never even run very well.. yeah, good luck with that.
They could have literally just looked at Google Street View and designed buildings off of real life examples, but instead they kind of pulled a CS1 with these fake looking buildings with no soul.. What a massive screw up this game has been so far. Hopefully the players can fix it for them, like they had to do with CS1- but the base game will still always have to be modded to make it look decent it appears. Can't another developer create a competing City Building game please? This isn't good enough for late 2023.
Just admit your expectations were way too high. CS1 base game release also was so bad and it just got better as time goes by. Thats clearly the route they’re taking and you just have to deal with it. If it’s not good enough for you then don’t play it. People like you are the reason why they rush things you guys always complain about everything. If they delay it, you’ll complain, if they release it early, you’ll complain. There’s no pleasing players like you who thinks its so easy to make a game. Why don’t you work on it instead of them? since you’re all knowing about city builder games 💀
@@roonsters6298 I will admit the developers could have done a lot better job with the building models, using google street view, guess you can't admit that you got suckered by a sub-par game?
