Ah.. Shanmugam. Michael Palmer, Yaw Shin Leong, David Ong, Cheng Li Hui, Tan Chuan Jin were forced to resign because of extramarital affairs and yet Kasiviswanathan Shanmugam remains.
I guess we have different standards for different politicians.
And I haven't covered eyebrow raising deals with relatively cheap rents for his palatial residence!
But the sad thing is, many S'poreans like him because he knows what noises to make.

And our dear former Prime Minister Lee is not someone you'd want to miss.
I don't miss the Oxley debacle.
I don't miss his broken promise of stepping down before 70.
I don't miss him introducing then raising GST.
I don't miss him opening the floodgates making us dependent on foreign labour and even worse letting people from some country in the South Asian subcontinent with questionable loyalties literally run our GLCs and government institutions.
I don't miss the kowtowing to the West by forcing us to take substandard Nokia 5G, mRNA vaccines, imprison people under the ISA and so on.
I don't miss labelling people who want good relations with other countries as politically significant persons.
I don't miss him being mum when Malaysia under Mahathir violated our waters in contrast to him screaming at Shangri-La over the South China Sea.
I don't miss him firing his colleagues over marital affairs whilst letting those with allegations of corruption and shady dealings stay.
I hope Lawrence Wong can address all of these issues.

You are very okay with corruption, having your family physically hurt, being sold out to foreign interests, being robbed and so on though. So you might need to get your head checked. @@lamsunyong343 And don't give me this argumentum ad populum fallacy. Doesn't matter how many people agree with me, the direction Lee Hsien Loong lead Singapore is wrong. You can support a captain crashing his ship into an iceberg for all you like. Doesn't mean the ship won't sink since you support that captain.
You have to ask yourself if Singapore is really okay with LHL's mistakes. Anyone with a functioning brain would say no. Give some more years of this, and Singapore will be in trouble.
