The crazy thing about German fan culture is that there are so many clubs with great atmosphere. The best scenes aren’t even playing in the top division.
In the 1st Bundesliga, clubs such as Hoffenheim, Wolfsburg, the Red Bull franchise in Leipzig or Augsburg are surely a disappointment if you're coming from abroad and planning to see a match in Germany. There are so many more real passionate fans in the 2nd and the 3rd tier, especially Kaiserslautern or those from Eastern Germany.
The insane thing about german fan culture is you can support your team at an away game even from outside the away end and mostly dont get in to trouble. As long as you arent right next to or in between the opposing Ultras or as long as you arent rude or just over the top, everyone will respect you. Its nice to have this mix of absolute passion yet respect and decency for one another. PS this is also why german fans sometimes get in trouble in england for example (eg Frankfurt vs. West Ham)
Because Germans are soft middle class folk festival fans that like to project the image that they're "Hooligans" when in reality they're probably the most middle class fans in Europe there's not a bit of fighting in them just misplaced arrogance....hence Nice fans made Cologne fans (wearing cute little ski masks 😂) run....if the french are making you run you know you're pure soft
@@Lei-mei How dare Germany have a lot of middle class people...🤡 if the german hooligans are such a joke I want to see you do St. Pauli chants in between Rostock Ultras. You will see how "soft" they are
German fans are incredible. EPL is so mundane in comparison. I don’t think you get a poor atmosphere. The fan culture is great. Some much energy, colour, noise…Why doesn’t the EPL have a dedicated singing section, where only fans that are prepared to sing and be energized are seated.
