Thanks for doing this. I just bought an 88cm and this is, by far, the best how-to video I have found on RUclips.

Thanks, I have been wanting to buy one of these for many years, but was looking for a video like this one to get a glimpse of what its like to actually handle one. Thanks for your effort!

I didn't know you couldn't take off the back or lens with out cocking first. thanks for the post. I just got mine.

You should actually never take the lens off when you're cocked as far as i understand the internals of mine. As with the film backs, you just have to have the same color in both the windows, otherwise the gears won't allign and you'll break the back.

Hi! This may sound kind of a stupid question but…am I supposed to push forward the film with the knob on the back for every single new shoot I want to take? Or instead does it go forward on its own? Thanks in advance!

I was looking for a "1" to show up in the little hole in the back, not the little horizontal lines. Dammit.

Good manual wich explaines almost everything correct....except for the metering Prism finder. You have to set the fstop to the minimum possible value of your used lens and not on the fstop value you want to use...

It should have 1 on the film counter? If i advance the film/cock the shutter and i peek through tje back window and see the 2 minus signs. Will it still read in my film counter as 1? Or its already at 2?

All Hasselblad lenses work with KIEV TTL cameras, I have a Tessar 2.8/80 lens along with other lenses.

Hi! I just started with square format and SLR`s in general. Im mosty
shooting with rangefinders. One questions at all who have experience
with both (RF & SLR): is it possible at all with SLR to use zone
focusing just like with an rangefinder? I mean when Im using my
RF-camera on streets, I just set aperture down to 8, I set the distance
at about 3 meters and than I dont have to bother at all about refocusing each
time Id like to shoot. From my first observations , its rather not possible
with SLR and I just have to focus each time. Am I wrong? Could somebody
tell me how it is with SLR?

I bought a kiev 88 about 2 months ago. I tried loading the film just last you did in this video and the top of the film comes out knurled. I think it's where it passes between the metal film guider and the pressure plate. Do you have any ideas?
    I've been looking everywhere

I see circles made up of 10 dots. I don't know whether I should keep spooling or not. There really need sto be more said about this step. you need to tell the user what they should expect to see. I have no idea if my film is ready to shoot now or not.

You say that they are finicky and that the step is very important and yet you make it very difficult to follow. I have rewinded this now 10 times I have no idea what I amk looking for to know that the film is loaded.
