You are very diligent doing videos. Thank you very much for that. Recently I got a Kiev 80 from 1977 in super clean condition and for little money. I like it very much. Just have the first role in it and hope that there are no leaks.Loading with my older model is much more complicated. I enjoy your videos. Thank you

Hi and thanks, they are great cameras if you get a good one, loading film can be awkward, spacing issues are common, it has to be tight, frame overlap occurs if the film is not tight, let me know how you get on. ..

Just developed my first role from the Kiev80. The results are ok what I can see. Spacing is getting bigger to the end of the film. No overlapping.

That's good news, I had light leaks in both my backs, easily cured, you found a good one, congratulations..

Just developed the second film, a Portra pro 400 taken last Sunday with my grandchildren. Very nice pictures. I‘m fallen in love with that old ukrainian lady. ;)

@@thephotographersbag That would be great! I bought a Kiev 88 a short while ago, and last week I bought a Kiev 88 CM. I'm looking forward to try this heavy piece of metal and get to know this camera. This vid really helps! I own a Lubitel 2 as well (as for some other Russian cams like the Smena 8M and a Smena symbol) and I love that camera, but this Kiev 88 is something else!

No problem, have a lot of the former USSR cameras myself, they are real bargains and the lenses are very good. .

Some body switched the 88CM focusing hood for one on an old 88.
