Buttermilk hack.. I never have to buy it. I keep in the fridge and when I run low or I think I should refresh I have a large jar but you can use any size. I add a cup or two to it, I add 18% cream as that’s all I keep for milk product 99% of the time, so I pick up a small milk and add 2 to 4 cups of those to the jar with the leftover buttermilk and shake it. Leave on the counter for a day, or in oven with light on in the winter, just till it has thickened. Shake again and put in the fridge. Lasts so long ‼️ hope this helps some of you

@@lgougeinthekitchen I have been doing it for 8 months now. So can guarantee you success. I see you have a lot of recipes that use buttermilk so you will love this. I don’t have a lot of recipes for it and so I don’t so I have maybe made it 4 times in those months and it is always still good, it’s never gone bad on me

I prefer to do everything manually…food processors and appliances are a lot of cleaning effort when it isn’t necessary! Stretches the electricity budget a lot!

Depends on how much you are making. Total meat unused about a pound. Use more or less. Make it your own

You can add onions. It is very good with onions. But not everyone in my family like them so I just leave them out.
You can use the food processor to chop the carrots to any size you want.

Yes. I do have some. I use it in cooked recipes when I do not have fresh. But for the dressing fresh is what I like to use.
