I’m glad someone has visited the Chateau Montelena, they put Napa on the map for wines. The Chateau Montelena 1973 Chardonnay won first place in the Paris competition. All 11 judges awarded their top scores to the Chateau Montelena 1973 Chardonnay. I hope you purchase the movie based on that competition. A fictionalized version of Chateau Montelena historic victory was featured in the 2008 film Bottle Shock. I hope you guys went inside. Another great wine is at Clos du Val, great award-winning Cabernet Sauvignon. in the movie Forgetting Sarah Marshall. Mumm Napa has great champagne. Ledson Winery & Vineyards is gorgeous, And of course, the Castello di Amorosa is very cool and unusual. you guys probably drove right buy the famous movie director Francis Ford Coppola winery. I'm also assuming you visited Yountville. Sense you were at Domaine Chandon it has World famous chefs and restaurants, very cute town. That bike path you were on goes right by my house.
I saw that movie years ago, I didn't realize it was about Chateau Montelena!
