@12:38 was really fun to listen to about the steroid era! As former players, I was really happy to hear Kratz & Todd talk to Jacob with some mutual respect. I could see someone like Trevor Plouffe, who is do or die with all former+current players, would not take him seriously at all. Great interview guys!!

    Most
    Un•valuable
    Players
Outside of the WAR stat, I heard him favor OPS, but which stat does he favor for evaluating position players on defensive metrics? And I would imagine players behind the dish like a Kratz would have their own unique set of criteria, as calling games & framing pitches are their most valued asset.

for people who might doubt the eye thing with steroids. 1. look up what steroids are, you can effects almost every part of a human body with them and thats why they are some of the best tools in medicine 2. archers used to and may still use steroids to enhance their vision in competition.

@@mariokart9227 Oh man, I agree about them having Foolish Bailey on here. Jacob's voice (Made The Cut) in this interview sounds more natural than in his videos.

The guy is a highlight youtuber who completely changed his videos with subscribers. Even the name MadeTheCut is about his highlights. I'm sorry but taking the opinion of a highlight youtuber seriously is just foolish.

This must be a paid spot. Why is this guy the arbiter. The first guy is right its goofy criteria that's used. The guy making the videos doesn't even know what bad is. You cant go just by numbers. Pass on this.

Instead of the 'Golden At-Bat' rule, MLB should consider a 'Courtesy-Pass' rule. After a team has gone through their lineup order three complete times, the manager reserves the right to use two passes there-after on any of his batters coming to the plate. If a manager chooses to use his pass on a player's at-bat, the player simply skips that specific turn at the plate, and the next man up comes from the on-deck-circle.
It'll all add up to fewer plate appearances in which fans in the stands will need to endure the weakest bats in a lineup.

If you’re going to do that, the other team should get “skips” where they can skip two opposing batters per game. Or maybe the other team can undesignate the DH and force the pitcher to hit once per game.
Or… hear me out… save the wacky lineup rules for backyard whiffleball and keep the asinine lineup shenanigans out of MLB.
