I think part of the "hate" for catchers is they only play in most cases only play 120 games...at most. But, Will Contreras did appear in 152 games. So yeah he is definitely a guy in the talk of great players. But, looks like he will move to first/DH next season. But, yeah catchers do a lot and really do have a tough position to play. But, they can get more time in the lineup now with the DH and save their bodies.
If “garbage time” means the entire second half of the season then yes Dansby got back to league average in garbage time. But dude was on a tear from July-September.
