The original was mind-blowingly beautiful - and here you have not rested on your laurels but taken it to another level again with gorgeous modulations and pitch-perfect singing : God bless you all, love your music.
time has not diminished the incredible beauty of your blended voices. sounds like it did the first time I heard it back in your early days. Perfection!
What I mean it’s not a lip sync of the original 1988 CD version - it’s a different arrangement in places and definitely at the end. Take 6 are amazing I’ve been listening to them since 1988 👍🏽👍🏽
I saw you on TV then went out the next morning about bought Take6. I ran out to my car and put the cassette in so I could hear Spread Love again. Then, this track started. I almost immediately had to pull my car to the side of the road unable to drive through the tears. I sat there on the curb bawling like a baby. I'm not sure what the life expectancy of a cassette tape is supposed to be but I played that one thousands of times. Thanks for all you've done for me!!

I can't understand why There is a racism in this world. I Love this guys . So beautiful voices, beautiful people, wonderful People, so Kind. They are perfect.
Can't even begin to imagine how beautiful our voices will be when Jesus comes and changes us in a twinkling of an eye!!! I look forward to that glorious day and event. God bless the members of Take6 and their families to be faithful till that glorious day!!!
OMG!!!!! I was looking for that dolo high pitch on the bridge- was singing by myself lol!!! Good stuff; proud to still be a black man, walking with God after hearing this:-)
I will forever and ever be a truly loyal and supportive fan. These guys changed how i listened to music back in 1987 and I will never be the same. Mark, Claude, Alvin, Dave, Mervyn, Joey, Cedric, and Christian, Yall are the MVPs of acapella.
You will always be my favorite group! And this song...TEARS. 🥲 I found you in high school when my vocal jazz teacher introduced your music to me. At that time I didn't know the Lord. But I got saved a few years later at 19 and your music was the foundation that God used to prepare me and open my eyes to Jesus. 🙋🏼♀️ This song, and all your music for that matter, feels like home. 💕 I'm forever grateful for you and your music and the way it's changed my life. 🙏🏻❤️🙌🏻
This beautiful arrangement was featured on their first album way back in 1986. Beautiful. Absolutely sublime harmonies. One question though, who on earth put a thumbs down on this must be absolutely miserable in their life!
I can't believe I get to hear them singing here! And wow!!! I can see you live!!! I'm in tears! I praise Jesus for you all! Your gifts help me praise God in Jesus name Amen!!! It would be the honor of my life to sing with you before I die
One of my absolute all time favorite groups for over 30 years!!!!!! I will adore every song these brothers can harmonize. They are all gifted, treasures from GOD!!!!!! I 💘 them, they continue to sound incredible!!!!!
I love these brothers back then when it was originally released AND again 2024!!! Renewed JOY that's unspeakable every time, EVERY TIME I hear them release THE SOUND from GOD❤
Time flies. I remember when Take 6 was a sextet of young guys. It's great that they are still making great music. // It's a wonderful song: we all need a quiet place where we can draw strength and inspiration to give our best to the world.
I was introduced to Take 6 in college in the late 80s. I sang in my college choir and we were just blown away by their harmonies. I saw them in concert before the Pandemic. Still the best a cappella group I've seen.
I listened to this album alot while I was writing my book " God Is Killing Me", this song is timeless ballad that inspires creativity and infuses feelings of serenity and positive energy.
I've been following take 6 for over 20 years, met them once after a concert and they are still the an absolute CLASS ACT!!! Listen to that beautiful harmony!
The brains behind the harmony arrangement for this is where the anointing starts. I thought this was the same version from their 1988 Album, but was pleasantly surprised to hear the change of arrangement at the end! LOVE TAKE 6. They are a huge reason why I got into jazz... Thank you for uploading!
Dixon Nacey yeah bro... and imagine if you accidentally sang a half step away from the main note by mistake..! lol 😂 “oops sorry that was meant to be a #11 note, not a natural eleven.... “
This is Mary Beth Davidson from KDEX RADIO here in Southeast Missouri! This Chicago born and raised gal was first introduced to them while Ministering in Music in Europe-1988, thanks to my friend, Huntley Brown, Mr. Piano, from Brownstown, Jamaica. He told me, "Mary Beth, you HAVE to listen to this group!" Knew I loooove STREET SIDE Acapella music and tight harmonies. Fell in LOVE with them from the VERY 1st NOTE on the 1st track of the Cassette-Gold Mine. My kids grew up knowing their music. Best of all about Take Six...wonderful Christian Musicians who love the Lord!
TEARS 😢 ...Absolutely beautiful. I still listen to this album..You all sound awesowe and look great! Thank you for thing this. I greatly appreciate it 🙏🏾 🤗
I remember hearing Take 6 as a kid for the first time. My friend had been given their debut tape. I was spellbound, and never had heard harmonies so beautiful. I spent the rest of the evening just listening. Magical.
I was taken to see take six at the royal Albert hall. Six stools six mics six towels and they Harmonised on to the stage in the most powerful experience to date. For me i was in total Awe of what they did. Never seen anything as perfect as them since 1991 or 90?
Fantastic recording, engineering, mastering.... and just such blessed voices providing such beautiful and intricate harmonies... Thank you, gentlemen. I still rock Take 6 gospel music.
I first saw them live in 1991 in San Diego at a Christian University where they did ALL of their Gospel including this song. It was amazing. Fast forward.....30 some years later......and I saw them again at Blue Note and they did their Jazz set including when they play several instruments. That was stunning. Saw them last month in Scranton at the Jazz Festival and they did a combination of both sets, sprinkled in with some augmented pop arrangements including a Christopher Cross song that was far better then the original, and again just absolutely stunning! Seeing them live over the course of 30+ years has been a blessing and has garnered in me a deep-deep appreciation for them. Seeing the Gospel Set and the Jazz Set shows how incredibly talented these guys are. There is simply no group like them that has that kind of songbook. They are flawless.
The best part about this is......... after all these years they're still TOGETHER doing what they love. You don't see groups anymore. At least Gospels or R&B
Today I listened to this song and it moved me like the word of God. Each time I listen God speaks directly to me! Thanks Take 6 for bringing the word in song! God Bless.
GREAT JOB TAKE 6! AFTER ALL THESE YEARS YOU FELLAS STILL GOT IT! THIS SOUNDS JUST AS FRESH AS IT DID WHEN YOU ARE RECORDED THIS ON YOUR SELF-TITLED ALBUM IN 88'! WOW!
These brothers were Phenomenal then and are still Phenomenal today ....absolutely amazing...Thank you God for Blessings each of them that they may bless each of us... mankind!!!

February. 1991. Iowa City, Iowa. Hancher Auditorium. Take 6 concert. Thinking of it makes the 30 years plus since then seem like the blink of an eye. Sitting here in A Coruña, Galicia, Spain right now, still thick in the throes of the pandemic, with no soon end in sight, this song, and Take 6, are truly a very much needed break from it all. Almost like being there all over again, 30 years ago. Happy Easter one and all. Sure hope to be able to see them live in concert again one more time. And yes, I did get autographs back in 1991... waiting twenty minutes or so in the chilled night air didn´t go over so well with the gal I´d taken on a first date... at least I still have the autographed CD booklet...
I always knew these guys were talented. I have been a fan since the very earliest days (they formed their group at Oakwood College in my hometown of Huntsville, AL). I am so thrilled to see these guys still doing it, and doing it just as well (better?) as they always have. Keep it going, guys!
Their harmony will always be godly. I've always felt like this group never got the proper recognition they deserved.
