I find the barrel bling does a similar thing. Each barrel bling has a different weight because she hand makes them. I’m not exactly sure why. The same with the LeFreques. The different metals are going to have different weights , the more weight you have the more resistance giving a warmer, richer, and more projected sound. I ordered 4 barrel blings, two were super light in weight and I gave them away. Two were pretty heavy and I love them! I can’t play without them! Same concept when you transition from a silver flute to gold to platinum or combinations, you’re not just adjusting the metals but also the weight. Also, I don’t like using the copper tape they send. I use a piece of soft bendable medical tape.
A little disappointed you didn’t try the barrel bling. I actually love it and it makes a difference. I was hoping to actually hear your opinion. I don’t like using the copper tape so I use soft light adhesive medical tape to protect my barrel. I’ve also found that the barrell blings all weigh differently and affects the sound. I pray a heavy walk sterling silver Muramatsu DS body with a Nagahara 10k tubing, 14 k lip plate and riser head joint.
I just had a Robert Bigio crown/stopper installed on my flute when I sent it in for a clean/oil/adjust at the flute center and I think it really improved the sound and playability of my flute!

Very curious to try leFreque but I live in Italy it's possible to make a free trial from flute center? Also didn't know the woodify ring and it sounds amazing!
