To get into Juilliard, it must be very difficult. And the combination of musicality and technique at a high level is essential. I admire Tiffany for her extraordinary talent and her rise to become well known concert pianist all over the world.

Congrats on getting thru The Audition. Their running behind schedule might account for why they only asked for 15 minutes of music. More waiting but less playing.

My mother and former mentors (Juilliard grads) also enjoy your content. My grandmother was taught by Ms.Sitjar (Juilliard grad) and went on to teach my mother in the 60’s. Now Ms.Sitjar is at least 100 years old. However I went to her when I was five and quit and then came back to study more intensely at age 12. Crazy, story but the originally Ms.sitjar who taught my great grandmother is still alive. She as well as her daughter (another Juilliard grad) were my mentors. I always admired their work. Since 6 it was a dream of mine to attend Juilliard we spent years of Brahms and Chopin, Bach...etc. anyways. My question is in this day and age what is the repertoire requirements for a piano applicant looking for a BA? Thank you so much for posting such selfless content. You’re one of my idols. Hopefully one day at age 23 I can attend. At age 18 I attended The Berklee College Of Music. Unfortunately in retrospect I wish I had gotten into Juilliard and been around people as enthused and talented in regard to classical romantic pieces as I always was. Nevertheless, I wanted to give auditioning another go. I’ve been practicing 6 hours a day since quarantine (and since leaving Berklee). Nevertheless I feel It’s never to late. Bless your soul. Thank you for you’re inspiring content and all the benevolent and altruistic good you’ve been doing supporting doctors and nurses around the word during this crazy time. God bless

Another great video. It's enlightening to see how much of a normal teenager you are ever though your one of the worlds top pianist. I'm sure you aced the audition. Does the performance during auditions have to be perfect? It would be a shame if someone always plays perfectly, but suddenly has to sneeze or cough during the audition, which messes it up.
There is a book on the table: "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo". At 5:43 someone's hand was placed over it as if to conceal it. Supposed to be working, but caught...ha ha!

@@copperbeckville1853 I'm a clarinetist, and wouldn't be able to play it on a full stomach, although I did have to conduct it at a rehearsal this year with a few hours notice. That's when you really see what the piece and Ravel are made of! I love how it works with piano, with orchestra, or even in my case, with wind band.

It´s wonderful that you share scenes of your private life as well es your practicing with your friends, the pianos. I like to hear you talking. You are so charming and always it´s interesting. What other kinds of music do you hear while relaxing? And you told already that the better someone learns to play piano early the easier he will succeed. What do you think: Should I try to learn a little bit at the age of 73? Because you and the other pianists I like are motivating me.
