    Never thought that Sirius was at G7 in the first place. Just seemed strange that a small colossus would be able to roam the open plains so freely while the other small colossus were relegated to rather tight arenas. Just my two cents. Great video though!

    Interesting discovery! Nice to know that slowly, community explores everything what is possible.
    I still think that Buddha lived in early D3, where Geyser is now located. If Geyser was behind Beta Dam, D3 area had to be extremaly empty... Too empty.

      Buddha's textures point to the idea that it lived somewhere south, I7 has been speculated to be the location, but the evidence for that is sketchy af. People have also speculated however thaf Spider lived at D3 in the RHB phase of development

    I'll be honest, this seems like a big stretch. Your past location videos have been very convincing, but this one left me feeling skeptical. The evidence just doesn't seem too strong - the "matching" chip data looks less similar in F8 than it does in G7. The textures sort of match, but SotC's texture style makes many grass/rock textures look similar anyway. Considering how many "confirmed" colossus locations have been debunked recently, this will probably join them once Buddha's location is decisively found. The video's design and editing were great, though.

    • @YossarianAssyrian
      @YossarianAssyrian 3 года назад +11

      No offense, but that doesn’t fill me with confidence. Already this year the BTFL team had an issue with a dev being impersonated and giving false info. It’s hard to know what to trust after so much “official info” throughout the SotC community has turned out to be false over the years.

      Labyrinth's (lair of Buddha) chip data doesn't match the surround quadrants of E8 at all, it would look really weird if there. At least Sirius's chip data somewhat alligns with F8 naturally

    • @Jaikhay231
      @Jaikhay231 3 года назад +11

      Well... It's certain there was a boss at E8. We see a few instances in which this is the case, with boss beams and clouds in a couple of screenshots and trailers, that show the way to the next boss.
      Now why isn't Buddha there? Well after looking more deeply into it, Labyrinth just doesn't work in E8. The chip data is full, as well as the textures not matching very well (lacks the grass for a start)
      I took a look at the textures used on the southern border of quadrant E7, and three are used.
      Those are:
      mk_world_wall_mip01
      mk_newgreen
      mk_kokeiwa_mip
      I looked for places that use all three and found the following areas:
      Kirin's Hill (Phaedra's arena)
      Sanctuary (Malus' arena)
      F8 (F8 quadrant before it was an arena)
      Stonehenge (Sirius' arena)
      Stonehenge is just the most likely of them all.

      If you compare it to our other videos like Roc and Devil, then yes, it is less convincing. But if you compare it to the previous location, G7, then you will see E8 works more. It's hard to explain exactly how, but what we do know is that G7 wasn't a boss arena during the period of the G7 images. A period from when Sirius was still in the game.
      I checked the textures of the earliest version of G7 we have (E3 demo) and compared it to Stonehenge. To put it simply, only one texture was the same. E8 on the other hand has three out of the four textures seen in Stonehenge.

    I know this doesn't have to do with the video but could someone explain to me why Spider's location has gone back to being on debate. The evidence for Spider living in F2 seemed pretty solid. Yet, in the Team Ico wiki, Spider's location has been changed to unknown.

    • @btab2772
      @btab2772 2 года назад +1

      Hillock’s (spider’s arena) textures do not match that of the northern span (for example there are no sand textures in hillock). It’s likely that spider was at F2 in the BVB phase, then moved somewhere else in the RHB phase (D3 is the most likely candidate)

    • @rickalbuquerque595
      @rickalbuquerque595 2 года назад +1

      @@btab2772 This contradicts what was previously written. Pretty sure the wiki used to say that Hillock had textures exclusive to the F quadrant. In fact, that's what led us to believe Spider was in F2 in the first place.
      Also, Hillock not having sand could mean that F2 was a lot grassier and was later modified to be an extension of the desert. Even then, there is a sand texture related to Hillock named mk_sand00. Yes, it is not listed in Hillock, but that could mean it was removed because of changes in the arena. So it is possible that Hillock was once a desert before the devs decided to modify it and, when Spider was removed, it went back to being a desert.
      Also, I've seen the argument that Spider could have been placed in F2 in the official pictures just for the sake of taking screenshots of it. However, I feel like, if that was truly the case, then they would have placed Spider in an empty desert (like they did with Gaius in that old trailer) instead of placing it in F2. That decision on the dev team is a strong evidence that Spider, at least at one point, used to live in F2.

    • @btab2772
      @btab2772 2 года назад +1

      @@rickalbuquerque595 yes, spider did live at F2 in the bvb phase, I won’t argue that. But hillocks textures point to the idea that spider lived somewhere else, that’s the point I was trying to make. The most likely scenario is that spider was put in some random location like how Gaius was in a barren desert in the bvb phase before being put somewhere else. Essentially, hillock’s textures don’t match with stage 12, which means spider once lived somewhere else with D3 being the most likely location

    • @rickalbuquerque595
      @rickalbuquerque595 2 года назад +1

      @@btab2772 The SEparam files list Spider as #10, so I think it's certain that Spider lived in stage 12 (the number was subtracted by 2 starting with stage 8).
      When was Spider placed at a random spot? Your comment was a bit confusing, since it sounded as if you said F2 was Spider's arena at one point but also that F2 was simply a random location they put Spider in the official screenshots when these sentences clearly contradict each other.
      If Hillock's textures don't match with the F column, then do you have any idea of why it was previously written on the Team Ico wiki that Hillock has textures that relate exclusively to the F column? It's almost as if there was a miscommunication between the wiki's authors.
      Also, wasn't Hillock having textures from the F column the whole reason we concluded it was Spider's arena (since it was the only unused arena that could have had the bridge we saw in its screenshots). If Hillock doesn't match with the F column, then do we have any evidence that Spider lived in Hillock at all?
