Thank you! This way we can continue to play with our existing and often painted terrain. I hope you continue to update and maintain the old zones during the third edition of KT. Thanks for your work!!
props. I've done this some of this previously (just for Octarius) with pictures of my own terrain, so I know how much work this is! Good achievement! Great platform and audience to share your work with. Cheers!
Love your videos. Just got into kill team after playing 40k for a bit and its great to see someone so dedicated to the hobby. Looking forward to playing your octatrius maps this weekend!
Thanks for this. So helpful! With regards to the Chalnath terrain, can a unit shoot through, and be shot at through, the long vertical gaps in the windows and broken windows?
Thanks for the maps and the discussion. Lots of folks have these terrain sets and having some way to keep them in use is a good thing. Is the no hope for Behta Decima at all? That makes me sad. I'm was hoping that through the use of the KT:Salvation scatter terrain and maybe the Diving and Swimming rules from KT:Nightmare, BD could be fun. Our group really liked the swimming rules. Frogmen doing Frogmen #$&!.
There is an issue with most of the maps. You can’t place the objective marker UNDER terrain feature. From CRB: “markers must be placed in a location they can be placed” From approved ops: “firstly you set up the terrain, then you place markers”. More so, objectives on Volkus aren’t under the terrain.
@canyourollacrit take a look at approved ops mission sequence. 1. Determine killzone and set up the terrain features. 2. Determine the crit op and place the objective markers. You can’t place a marker where it (40mm circle in case of objective) cant be physically placed (crb page 52).
@@CanYouRollaCrit i certainly can, but that’s beside my point. I just pointed out that it’s technically not correct. I really appreciate what you did and only wish that you could have done it before our tournament that’s been on Sunday :) would’ve saved us some time. Hand of the archon won btw ;)
@@CanYouRollaCrit any reason not to make them public? Would you mind if I copied some and made them public in battlekit? Would be easier to use than coming back to the video to check the layouts
@@CanYouRollaCrit Cool thank you for the reply. Will have to get myself a set of the terrain then 👍 Will you only be using WTC terrain or will you be using other battle zones?
So are these Verified/Confirmed/Supported by GW or is this like a Homebrew thing, Played my First killteam match on the Octarius terrain and it was confusing trying to decide what type of cover the trash piles were, plus we each had a ramshackle wall in the corner of each of our Deployment zones so we both just put dudes up in them and shot whoever went out to try to capture points, also is the entirety of the Oil pump on Octarius heavy terrain regardless of what part you take cover behind provided you're not out in the open on the vantage part? Confused on what you meant by the Tap on it Would love to send this to my buddy but hes a stickler for GW Rules and such
@CanYouRollaCrit as in their assembly. Looking at the wtc 2nd edition maps they are all assembled with the same corner direction. I guess you could build them either way but I'm a bit sad I can't use these seemingly nice layouts since I assembled mine like wtc did
Yea, go for it. You can make sone interesting, themed battles that way. Don't forget these set ups are not official and are really targeted for the competive focused (as is most YT KT content)
I’m not a huge fan of taking the tops off the Chalnath buildings, laying the Nachmund furnaces on their side, and splitting up the Moroch bunkers. I feel like the aesthetics of the first two are ruined and not everyone has the bunkers split up like that.
Not a fan of having that many objectives split in half by walls (it's not something that is seen in any layout). There is a shift in gameplay with only 3 objectives and most mission actiones are restricted by not allowing them in control range of an enemy. however most of the other maps are really cool and it's nice to have a stantarized way to play on tournaments.
The light has left your eyes. They way you've suffered for us has not gone unnoticed.
My local group and I thank you for your sacrifice!
Aha thanks, I try

Ah that's great to hear! I'll probably update them with every new approved ops release unless I find a current map is broken etc

Ah thanks, that's great to hear! Hope you enjoy Kill Team (:
thanks for all your work, greatly appreciated!
No worries, hope you like the maps!
Awesome... thank you for your extra efforts
No worries, thanks for watching (:
I really enjoy the concept of Bheta Decima, so I’ll be exited to see if you can crack it.
GW just need to add swimming rules 😭
Toxic
Thank you!
No worries (:
Thank you for this.
My pleasure (:

Yeah but can trigger obscuring

Maybe but BD needs fixing by GW first imo

You set up objective markers then the terrain, no rules are broken (:

@sky_tech_23 okay, well you can choose not to use the map pack then? The objectives and terrain are not going to be changed for were they are (:

Ey ive been asking for this! Great work!
Are you going to upload these to KT battlekit?
Cheers!
Oh theyre there, ignore me aha!
Haha no worries, they're there but I've kept them private (:

Yup!

Using only WTC atm (:
Would be good to hear if these were practically playtested or just theory crafted
They've mostly been playtested, some at NYO (:
@@CanYouRollaCritOk, didn't know if it was worth getting ppls feedback and reviewing in a future video

All homebrew, not related to GW at all (:
Scrap Piles are light cover
Aren't the WTC buildings all supposed to be the same orientation?
Nope, only some are

How about some maps that mix terrain? Would be nice if there was more use for Bheta Decima terrain.
Nah people don't like doing that in general sadly

Ah I do get that but otherwise those killzones become very unbalanced without those changes
For Nachmund I use countainers instead of furnaces. I just put some crates on top to say you can't go there and it's fine.
Why didn't you include moroch maps with a whole hab bunker ?
Poor sods like me that glued it are now very sad ! ( It's me , I'm sad )
Ah most people didn't glue it as a box in afraid 😅

Issue is if you don't cover then the maps become unplayable

Doesn't do much for a map pack 🤔
