🎉Thank you for giving the Clearly Filtered Pitcher its well deserved recognition!!! 🎉 It is truly the best, and removes the most contaminants by far. *Please note everyone, that this pitcher IS certified by the WQA, which in my opinion holds more value. ALSO, PLEASE NOTE: The pitcher was recently redesigned, so the lid 'issue' has been resolved, although I never found the original one to be a problem. AND, you can get this on sale at times, and with the subscription, it is very fairly priced. Clearly Filtered sells through Amazon too, and the sale prices will be reflected there, too.
Maybe there are some WQA certifications that we are not aware of? Because at least for NSF/ANSI standards 42 and 53 it makes no difference whether a water filter is certified by the WQA or the NSF/IAPMO. In other words, why do you think the WQA certification holds more value?
@@boswater6065 as I said, just my personal opinion. There are stories out there that NSF certifications can be bought. After researching the WQA, I just feel more comfortable with it.
Awesome video. Love the actual statistics, not some random person reading off the Amazon listing description. Any chance you could please do showerhead filters?
Hi, I am looking for a pitcher that soften water. Does waterdrop electric water filter ED06W (soft water system) really do what it claimed? Or, do you have any other recommendation?
I've checked the pitcher and based on the product images it looks like it could be using ion exchange resin so the same stuff that you find in water softeners, but I could be wrong (the product description doesn't clarify). Other than that, the only pitcher we tested and that remove almost 100% of water hardness was the ZeroWater.
Great info. Actually I want a softener for shower. I searched online and found Waterstick but find that its a hassle that it requires regular salt regeneration process. Thus, I thought of collecting soft water thru pitcher and use it for hair washing. Other than using pitcher, do you have any recommendation for shower product that fits my requirement?😅
There might be shower filters that soften water, but the question is for how long until the filter media is exhausted. When you think about how much softening resin is contained in a genuine whole house water softener and you compare that to a shower filter, the difference is really obvious. Also, whole house water softeners regenerate their resin on a regular basis which a shower filter doesn't do. We've never tested this, but personally I wouldn't trust a shower filter to soften my water long-term.
So far with all our lab testing, we've never seen 100% fluoride reduction. But if around 95% reduction is okay for you, I'd check our big countertop RO comparison video.
Sir in my country the city Tap water has high presence of manganese and the authority said do not drink the water even do not cook with the water and boiling her , its 3 weeks now with this water problem , how it can be solved???
We are referencing results from Derek (Modern Castle) here on RUclips and results from the EWG. They saw around 50 to 80% reduction of disinfection byproducts - you can find the links to their testing in the Google Sheet. Also, we recently tested a ZeroWater dispenser which uses the same filter element as the ZeroWater pitcher and we also saw lackluster filtration when it came to disinfection byproducts (video will be published soon).
What about the Gobalt in clearly filtered water because there was anther test on line showed clearly filtered water has high Gobalt amount in them,,,,😮 so how you did't mention that??
Great question! Mainly because we didn't find cobalt in our filtered water, and we try to be careful when a third party detects substances that a water filter may have leached into the water. For us, this is different from third party testing showing that a water filter is having problems removing certain substances (as with the ZeroWater and disinfection byproducts). But maybe we need to overthink this in certain cases. Btw, I've checked and if the Clearly Filtered pitcher really leached cobalt into the water, at least it was 10-20 times below the strictest health guideline we could find (still not ideal obviously).
@konnectmarketing9527 @eslafalbayati6340 We tested the Clearly Filtered pitcher 3 times for fluoride, but never saw a reduction. However, as explained in the video, we believe our test results for fluoride are flawed. Essentially, the CF pitcher increased water alkalinity and we think that this lead to higher measured fluoride concentrations in the filtered water which is a known interference of the applied testing method. Simply put, we wouldn't trust our numbers on fluoride reduction. But I known that other people have tested the Clearly Filtered pitcher. Maybe check out their data!
We couldn't test for PFOS because they are not in our water. However, the Clearly Filtered has an official NSF certification for PFOS and PFOA reduction!

@angiepattillo3599 Thanks for sharing.
Thank you so much for your testing and your clear and concise anaylsis!

Glad you liked it! Shower filters are on our list although not a priority right now.
Omg yes! Shower heads would be awesome!!
I have the Clearly Filtered and your comment were exactly correct.

GREAT VIDEO GOOD EFFORT APPRECIATE IT!
What’s your favorite glass pitcher then. Mainly for look and just favor glass. Not a plastic hater or anything
Just for looks, probably the LifeStraw Home.
is there a second best?
Yes, Clearly Filtered/ZeroWater depending on how you view it.
We don’t have clearly filtered in Canada. Any alternative.
They ship to Canada.
The Top propriety for me it fluoride there is no filter water can do 100% remove fluoride
Any other recommendations please?

Depends on how severe the contamination. But an RO system is probably your best chance.
zero water seemed to of filtered all the disinfection byproducts? What are you referencing in the video?

What about epic. You guys had rated it the best before. Why not restate it again?
Because the brands we mentioned achieved better results in our lab testing.

Thanks and exactly , you do mention certain substances and the leeching substances , that is the beauty of the work you are doing
You're welcome!
Any chance of a faucet water filter review?
Definitely!
Copper has a positive effect.
Why wasn’t the epic nano filter tested?
Because our budget is limited.
Why these pitchers don't have RO membrane in them but still leech dichloromathane, isn't dichloromathane leeching is RO system thing?
Not necessarily. DCM is used in all kinds of (manufacturing) processes.
What does DCM stand for??@boswater6065
DiChloroMethane (= methylene chloride)
at this point ill just do RO....
I get why...
Clearly filtered claims that they remove flouride or maybe another person claimed that about their filters.
Yes, they also list fluoride in their test data with >99.54% reduction.
@@boswater6065 did your test show flouride reduction?
@@boswater6065 did you test for flouride reduction using clearly filtered
@boswater6065, what was the fluoride reduction percentage in your test
@konnectmarketing9527 @eslafalbayati6340 We tested the Clearly Filtered pitcher 3 times for fluoride, but never saw a reduction. It's basically an ad
This is very long for no reason, and I also feel like very contradicting. I watched this two times to understand and still didn't.
shady video
Why
Stupid comment
Did the clearly filtered. Remove pfos?
