Great price, but It is Woodley. Besides the CVS, not much retail in that area - I don't even think a grocery store. I love how your apartment backs into the zoo green space. That will never get developed. I lived in DC almost 25 years and never owned a car. Thou in Woodley a car would be nice if you had dedicated parking. You must miss NY..
I owned a car and kept it in Chinatown. I paid $240 per month for parking in my building, plus $100 on insurance. But I didn't have to commute to work, so I saved money on gas. You're estimate of $800 per month for a car in DC seems way too high for me. My Two Cents, Steve
I want to move to dc with 6 k but i have no college degree or nothing and i dont want to live in VA even tho is cheaper simply because i wanna get rid of my car. Oh i will go with my wife too, we have an ok credit 573 so thats why i plan to have those 6 k for down payment but again we have not college degree so we would just have to get jobs at whole foods, cofee shops etc. Any links to find aps? Or roomates

How much is the cost of living in your city?
The real question is how long does it take to find a perfect job, or are there even jobs? Middle East question

Yeah I think $800 is high if you own the car! I was including a monthly car payment and gas in that estimate as well
Nice. You are saving so much money.
What neighborhood is this? And does your building have studios?
This is Connecticut Plaza Apartments which I found on Apartments.com. And Yes it does have studios!
Not even 1000$ for a whole studio in dc?? All I find is 1000$ for a room!
Well I split the rent of the 1-bedroom with my girlfriend!
How did you find your apartment?
