    Omg I love Navy Yard! It’s so close to flying trapeze…back in the day, Navy Yard was kind of a dangerous place to walk around but I’m so glad that they’ve finished all of the construction and renovation and it’s all nice and pretty now

    I would love to live in the city (Im in Fairfax County, Va), but as a single woman, none of those prices are affordable.

    Great video! I'm planning on moving to DC soon for work. Are you planning on touring anymore apartments? If so, have you thought about touring Watermark Buzzard One Point Apts or the Chase at Bryant St. Apts?

    I work in Reston Tone Centre, where can I get an apartment or studio for one single person, decent enough, below $1500?

    I think it's a little misleading when you call apartments "really good price for this space" or reference how affordable these places are for DC. These are luxury apartment complexes and DC is full of so many other places to live that are way more affordable for an average income (and might not have the "bells and whistles" as you said). I'm in a 1b/1b in DuPont for $1450 (like many other friends here), so I just want those watching this video to realize these aren't the only living situations in DC. Congrats on your search and for moving to DC, it's a great city!

      Agreed that these are luxury apartments as I stated. everyone has different wants and needs when it comes to their desired living space. That being said affordability is relative based on a lot of factors [income, person's contributing to rent, layout and area you would like to live in, lighting, and SEASON you are looking for an apartment] so I think we all know it's relative when we are watching apartment videos. They're super helpful especially if these apartments were on your list.

      Where is anything $1450 in DC?

    • @mai192
      @mai192 Год назад

      I dient find it misleading. They are dividing the rent which makes it more affordable. Living alone makes it less affordable.

    These prices for the space is crazy.. How are people affording these places alone is beyond me..

      Sounds like she is moving with her man, so they are probably splitting the cost. Or he is paying, etc.

    hi! I graduate in december and i’m really thinking hard about moving to dc! Is it easy to make friends there?

    • @AsToldByDom
      @AsToldByDom  Год назад +5

      I think it's a bit easier than most cities because of all the events that they have going on. If you put your self out there maybe join a kickball or social sports league or do join a fb group you'll be fine. people here are relatively welcoming!

    What’s the rental requirements for DC? Is it 3/30x the rent?

      I found an article on google www.apartmentlist.com/renter-life/cost-of-living-in-washington-dc and it seems to be so. My fiance is technically my "roommate" so we went into this with a combined income
