Call Your Mother is the trending deli, but Stachowki's is the OG sandwich shop; especially the pastrami sandwich. Also, Bub and Pop's is another outstanding sandwich shop near Dupont Circle. Tabard Inn is great for breakfast/brunch
It wasn’t even the original CYM, which is the one on Georgia Ave! I remember back before they became a chain not being able to get seats because it was packed from 9am until close. It makes me miss Bethesda Bagels when they were in Dupont. Not the same level of instagram worthiness, but better bagels.
Heading to DC On Friday, this was really helpful! I like how you describe your tasting experience. A very scenic word choice. We are hoping to capture the cherry blossoms so Ben's looks ideal for local and loving it lunch stop!
Cute video. You definitely picked some almost Taurus traps between Ben's which is also historic of course and Georgetown cupcake, but call your mother is the real thing and l'ardente is as well.
When and if you travel, to D.C. Don’t forget to try out the Old Ebbitt Grill, they have the most amazing knock in your sox pancakes, and any other breakfast, items etc, !!!!!!!! 👌👍😏
If visitors had any idea old ebbitt grill was so close to the mall it would be impossible to get in.l went so many times with my dad in the 60sand70 with my dad he worked at fruit basket. sonooky was a good friend of his for years
SOOooo much appreciated for not showing you chewing and biting every DAMN bite like a lot of RUclips video out there... just bite, access, move on... not trying to watch people eating a whole damn meal😂
Thanks for sharing with us as always you guys! Yall brought me back to my time living in DC. I miss it a ton! If yall ever make it back there, you have to try Founding Farmers! A little pricy, but the food is so amazing! They also buy directly from American farmers!
the only place you guys went that was good was call your mother and thats just decent the rest of those spots are trash . ko chix , lucky buns , cake room , new heights , filoa , baked and wired dangerously delicous pies, dumping and beyond wingos . those are good places to eat and their all local. take it from a retired dc chef .
lardente is solid, underrated italian restaurant imo but definitely got more fame after the Obamas' dined there. Really good dishes that are still affordable. But yea, this list was pretty weak overall.

No one eats at Ben's Chili Bowl unless they are 1) drunk 2) a tourist 3) both.
Baked and Wired in Georgetown is a great coffee and cupcake option....better than Gtown Cupcake in my opinion.
Love the pic of Michael with Virginia at Ben and Virginia’s Chili Bowl ❤ and all the scenery and restaurants in D.C. 🎉
The Ethiopian food looks so good and nourishing
I'm in DC right now and this video helped me so much! Thanks!

A cupcake place made your top foods list? That was the best you could come up with? Cupcakes?
I love how you describe all the flavors and the experience of eating the wonderful food from DC.
Thanks so much!
Baked and wired > Georgetown cupcakes
Yall never left NW.
Not that the places you went to are bad, but they are definitely not the best in DC.
Any recommendations around Dupont Circle?

Me too have fun maybe I’ll see you there

Try the Old Post office or Union Station for food shopping.
For Irish food, go to Kelly's Irish Times or the Dubliner.

AYYYYEEEEEE (start the podcast Rob)
Ben's Chili Bowl is absolutely grotesque.
you are so lucky young lady, to just put the food in your mouth, nod and you say "it's so tasty !!!!!" without chewing the food first .

Next time check out bethesda bagels instead of call your mother. Otherwise great reviews.
pronounced as: saffron aranchini
Eat diliciues
Bens chili bowl is flat out nasty. Drunk people at 3 AM just don't know any better.
Eat mum drink cold water
Whoever gave y’all this list ain’t from DC or don’t like y’all 😂
Where would you suggest?
NO GOOD MEXICAN FOOD???? ...
Call Your Mother Deli is absolute garbage, trash, nonsense
maybe slightly overrated but absolutely not garbage, trash.. just say you don't know food.

You won't catch me dead in DC eating. Only way to stay safe is to not go there
Looks like they made it out safely. Imagine that.
