- Still getting to grips with my new Blues Box Slide Guitar but thought I would upload a video anyway so I can gauge my progress.
My attempt at Spirit in the Sky - not perfect but great fun to play though! - Видеоклипы
Nice job Colin...well done !!
Thank you, Stephen!😀
Awesome you sound great I just ordered one
Love that kind of guitar, veeery fun to play. Great video Colin! Cheers
Thanks, Andrea!
Nice work mate. Wannabe player here and this is very encouraging. Been eyeing that same box here on Canada Amazon, and you're the first to include fingerpicking which some said was not possible. Thanks ! Keep going - and stay safe.
Thanks so much Jg! :)
@@ColinPowell_AMultitudeofOne Of course --- YOU actually pushed me over the edge and ordered one today ! I know I can't actually "fingerpick" but you can add some specific embellishment notes which was enough for me to give Amazon my money, hahaa... wish me luck. IT's a learner til I can get out the shop in the Spring and build my first CBG.
@@jgboutilier7560 Ha! Well at least it is not a lot of money! It takes some practice, like most things, but it is great fun! I hope you enjoy it :)
Very Very Good Instrument and Good Blues my Friend. 😀😀😀👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Ha ha , thanks Oliver! Still learning to play it cleanly :)
Can't knock that for value for money.well played sir
Thanks, Russ. :)
I would love to try this I have this guitar but I'm not good at it can you please tell me the places where the slide goes
Well it is mainly open strings (tuned G D G) and then 5th and 3rd frets back to open (occasionally changing the order to open then 3rd then 5th fret and back to open) - and that is mostly it. Practice those riffs until you get it as smooth as you can and you will find that those same frets played in different order and rhythms will allow you to play many blues rock style tunes!
Great effort mate. I have one of these from Aldi in Australia $A50. It's almost as much fun thi party as my $A300 hand crafted CBG. I suppose you would sound even better with a fuzz pedal.
Cheers, mate.
Is it durable
Well I wouldn't play it in the shower or leave it out in the rain but fairly durable if you treat it well. I still have it after a year and 9 months ;)
