I was a little boy living in Bhraka Manang in the 1970s . The Manang valley and Mustang had just been opened to the out side world , and that brought the first western trekkers to our villages . Although they came in trickles , I remember encountering a few of those westerners . They would always camp on the grass lawn in front of the village . And I remember when seeing those weird looking foreigners for the first time , I was scared and confused and I ran quickly back into the house 😂 Some elders would say “ these golden haired , white/red faced people are from the god realms “ And I believed them 😂 But I have to say the most memorable one was when a black person showed up amongst a Caucasian group . The whole village came to look at her . We the children would follow her every where . I wonder what she must have made of it 😊 Any way thank you for posting this and taking me back to memory lane , to my childhood . This clip has a lot of Mustang and not so much of Manang . I am sure you would have more clips of Bhraka . Please share them if you can . May be we might have brushed shoulders and you had filmed me even . 😊
