@zilipoper Sure I have, but in this case it was a band that was completely new to me. I wouldn't have known where to begin to find them, but thankfully, the algorithm made a recommendation I liked instead of suggesting the usual suspects (that I can't stand) like some grifter trying to sell me supplements or some bro telling me how to clean my room after I make him a sammich.
If you haven't noticed, the algorithm has been awful for a year or so.

It could be though. Close your eyes, imagine yourself around a camp fire next to the tracks with strangers you've been traveling with via the railroads A belly full of good'nuff and a positive disposition. All of a sudden a little diddy starts'a goin'. You gonna sit there or you gonna bob along? This is feel good music.

Several years ago you guys were booked to play a small bar in Salisbury NB but your van broke down so my friend and I went to NS to pick you up! We listened to the squirrel nut zippers the whole drive and you guys laughed so hard when you saw the sign for Sackville! Then You proceeded to charm us all with your beautiful sounds!! Salisbury loved it!! Great day, great gig, great experience! I hope you’re both doing well ❤

I loved EVERYTHING this duo did here! My favorite tiny response from the washboard player was the understated “uh oh” the first time the guitar player sang “they caught us makin’ love.” 😆🥰

lol I hear ya. I've been playing in rock bands nonstop since I was 15. I'm 72 now, still gigging 6-8x/month, but would love to be able to play ragtime guitar like this. Wouldn't give up rock for it but it'd be a nice side gig 😁

Reminds me of a sunny summer Saturday, early in the morning. Sun beams lighting up the dust in the air as they come through the windows. Saturday morning cartoons playing on the tv while i eat my Frosted Flakes.😊 She reminded me of Betty Boop.❤

Everything old is new again (and vice versa). Love the washboard percussionist, her accent array and the innate knowledge acquired from performances past exactly when to ting 'em to the lead vocal. Beautiful. Lovely. Need more of this in our lives.
So some say there isn't much of a market for this type of music. I don't know, I don't quite agree. Now adays things are a bit different, and that difference can really strike a note with this new generation. Everything seems to be cyclical. Especially styles of music. Things eventually come full circle but with a twist. Sortof like... the more things change the more they stay the same. They just get...rediscovered. My daughter (16 yrs) even when she was like 13 years old, her and her friend's age group were picking up things that were quite obscure. For a while there, they were all into theatre songs, but sung like a rock song. It was so strange to me. For instance, the movie Heathers? That went broadway and those songs became soooo popular with that age group. They started liking these "rock" bands that sounded like broadway music. Very strange but interesting.

@@milascave2 Unfortunately, you are correct. There never really was to begin with. Small folk/blues instrumental duos like this were always rather niche, even back in the day.
