This is an actually useful lesson. What a time to be alive. Can we call you GuitarVeteran8888?
oh no. Do I smell some top 5 guitars videos coming?
Damn, that Tele is just caked in cosmoline. ;)
Scorpiuszeroone those maple fretboards age pretty gracefully
I dont play music, but im here to support the channel. Anything to help keep funding the iv8888 channel. Keep up the great work Eric!
It doesn't matter whether you play an instrument or not, my friend. What matters is that you dig music and are interested in how to play it. Run with that. Pick up a guitar or keyboard. You have a musician's heart. Give yourself the greatest gift of all. Put your hands on an instrument and let your heart sing. It's the most joyful thing you can ever do.
man 1st time watcher...luv the way u play them triads!! so sweet sounding..nice teach ty
Minister Michael Williams here man doc this is one of the best triad lessons I have come across you blessed with some guitar mystery made known Thanks
Been watching your videos since your inception and am happy to see you are a guitar player as well. I've been playing for 30 years myself and am an avid outdoorsman, gun guy. Thanks brother.
Thanks! This did fill in a gap in knowledge. I can see where a couple other similar moves come from the triads you are using.
Thanks brother! I love your gun stuff, thanks for teaching some great blues stuff.
I love that relic guitar of yours
Thank you very much for all your help.
Thanks for this.
Been playing for years and great food for thought
Great lesson, just what I need. Subscribed!!
One of the best videos I've seen on triads... thanks. Excellent!
Great lesson, indeed. WOW. Thank you very much! This Tele sounds awesome, by the way. Never heard a tel like this.
Man the Tele sounds so Quaky pure Goodness :D
Very helpful, Guitarsenal! Thanks for handing these triads down. They will open up some new vistas for me.
Gotta hand it to you guys. This is excellent. And the chord grids are a nice touch. Thanks for the effort y'all put into doing this.
WTF I didnt even know 8888 Veteran is playing the blues :D Very cool. Wasn't expecting to find a video about triads by you :D
Thanks a lot for this!
Long time searching exactly for this
Great leasson eric! Guitar is the weapon of peace. Cool to see you jammin the blues! Just don't sell your soul
Those 7ths and 9ths are funky dunky! Just like my man jimi
LOVE this new channel! Been playing music for 33 years (guitar since 13, bass since 19) and been in the same band for 20 years.I recently got my oldest guitar back up and running. An old Lotus Strat copy, but it sounds vintage...and looks it too...paint chipping off, chunks of wood missing, but it sounds the best of all my guitars. I subbed to this channel the instant i heard of it...keep up the good work!
Wow Eric. Had no idea. I picked up my brothers guitar when I was 10. Have been hooked for decades....
A very nice lesson, thanks man.
great lessons many thanks
Oh lord! There is some mojo here. Especially at the end when you were ripping around those cords cages...man there was some stank in those riffs!!! Thank you so much for sharing this
Thank you, one of the best blues guitar lessons, I’ve seen. Subscribed
The new channel is great man.
Good to see your other talents. IV8888
Very nice lesson
Great lesson! Thank you sir. Guns are a wonderful release, but you can't call on them at midnight when you need some stress relief.
🤣
Great lesson, this is some as an intermediate blues guitarist that I will incorporate into my playing as I love the idea of triads but was having issues putting them into a blues context...thanks brother
Really useful content explained and demonstrated in an easily understandable way. I think you've got a great channel here Eric. The gear, the attitude, and the delivery are top notch. I'm late to this channel but now that I'm here and subscribed I'll be a regular watcher.
Anxiously awaiting for the first Guitar Gripes video! Guitars...my other hobby as well. Congrats on the new channel.
That's very kind of you dude. Great stuff I will definitely practice it 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
This is quality info - thanks so much for sharing it.
You really did a nice job on the presentation. Thanks. I agree with you about learning what sounds good to the ear.
A great lesson! I feel it a blues and a triad lesson in one, verry relateable I epically like the term you use "territory". Thank you.
Great video !
This was really helpful ,, changed my playing ... I am going to use to sound like Jimi Hendrix and blues ........wow...
Awesome. Thanks
For guitarists out there learn your triads on paper a shortcut to music 3 major 3 minor covers it all like riding a bike
Eric you just got twice as cool. Guitars and guns, 2 of my favorite things 🔫😎🤘
All right!! I've been teaching myself guitar for a few years now. Love the new content. Sub'd and liked. I've been watching your IV8888 channel for a loooong time and love it.
Thank you Ken. You’re in the right place. Well get you pointed in the right direction
Great vid. Cheers
Beautiful
Thanks for the knowledge...
Well we have something significant in common. We share two of the most expensive hobbies.
Thank you it's good
Awesome!! Love the way you explained the triads and variations...love to see more. Peace
Thanks for the tips and instruction!
I love the old beat tell ha it like Eric's trigger
Hah! This feels so abstract to see you with a guitar, not a gun, Eric :) Nice lesson, I'm gonna grab the guitar in a minute and try out those sweet licks. Good luck with this channel!
I know! Let it sink in...it will be okay
Ohm/amp fry meltdown test!!Seriously though, great to see you playin on your new channel
You guys just started this channel and the quality is already leagues ahead of other music channels that have been around for years. Keep it up ya'll.
I second this. I am a long-time guitar player and reloader who was admittedly skeptical, but R.L. H. nails what I was thinking after watching the content you have posted here. Your audio is excellent and I appreciate what you have to offer in the video content. This is VERY exciting!
This
We take the things we put out there very seriously. I feel that a video reflects on you as a person. It’s always been important to be professional, family friendly, and easy going. It’s the core of who we are and what we do
Eric I just hope that you retain your integrity and when you get a crappy, sub quality product that you point it out. Aside from Glenn Fricker no other guitar channel has the guts to call out bullcrap on the guitar makers.
Don’t worry. We call it like we see it...
i do heard this method on buddy guys music a lot
A
little Lonnie Mack lick there.
Good lesson, man, really useful. Like Zoot Allures poster
When you're up in the A position (7th fret), & sliding? If the open E string's allowed to ring? Adds a real nice, wide, airy sound. It's not strictly Bluesy, but if there was such a thing as "Surf Blues?" (Sorry, Eric - I'm an old hippy! 🤣) ...Btw, these are sorta abbreviated 6th chords or handy, easy-to-slide fragments. Thanks for letting me jump in. I just subscribed!
Fuck me runnin! He's even better at the Guitar than he is Gunnin.
Has anyone heard of Seagull guitars? Their made in Quebec Canada. Their affordable high end options sound almost as good as some Gibson's for half the price
CrazyCanuck they sound beautiful. They have Godin preamps and piezos
Their acoustics are excellent, my mom had one for years that I'd steal all the time.
kevlarandchrome hahahahahaha I don't blame you 😂
My recording acoustic is a Seagull S6 with LRBaggs electronics. An incredible sounding axe.
Would be helpful to know where the triads come from ie are they part of a full chord?
Young guy, killer tele tone, " Zoot Allures " poster on the wall, respect. I'm watching. What pickups and amp are you rockin'? Thx 4 sharing.
Wait a minute!?!? Iraqveteran8888 ? This is awesome!!!!
N I C E🤙
This channel is already gucci and it's only the first few days. Wow. BTW, what amp are you using?
Mesa Boogie MKV on the 10 way setting
That Fender has had some use.
Randomly found this video....lol....you can play 8888!
I'm confused isn't that triad shape a minor shape? the G7 using that shape is D minor with the root being on the third fret B string?
It might be a Dm triad..I’m not exactly sure 2nd inversion
what gauge strings are you using
sounds great more like a stratt
1:33 What is that song that used this throughout
the progression, (adding the first string 7th) ?
What size strings do you use?
I love it when guitar channels talk to me like I already understand all the theory, because I do 🤣 Have to use that degree for something...
It’s a language and you either speak it or you don’t!
Nice toanz
Now I have to buy a guitar damh Eric hahahaha
I'm hearing Freddie Freeloader
Was about to like the video till I heard him flame every single person who watched the video at 12:21
Add one more note and you get a G6 no root
Great Lesson helps out a lot
Glad you like it.
Any ETA on Guitarsenal Man Cans?
Lol I don’t know about that.
Rock on machine gun rocker ☆
top 5?
Some of what was played sounded like stevie ray Vaughn. Some of it sounded Ike Chet Atkins. I guess I have an ear for sounds.
What brand is that Paul to your left?
ibenez
U play slide with a shell
I like to mess with guitarists I ask how are your triads they go what's that I say the secret to life son
don't shoot!!
Guns Guitars and where's the Girls?..
don't you have a gun shop with an older guy?
Are you the iraqveteran8888 or the iraqguitarist8888😂😂
First of all...that is not a triad. G, B & E. does not produce any triad.
Are you kidding me???
I need the story behind this tele. That thing looks RAD
Hey Eric, could you explain keys more in depth?
This is really useful and well explained...thanks
Hi from TÜRKİYE you are Masterclass dude thank you add your channel👏👏👏👍👍👍🎸🎸🎸
Not sure this is a lesson on triads as much as it is about playing style. If this is a triad lesson, why not start with what a triad is and how you turn a major triad into a so called blues triad. Technically, for your little mind, that is part of a C-minor chord form. As a triad it is a first inversion minor triad. As a first inversion minor triad it is a 351 with the 3 lowered to a b3. That's what gives it the minor voice...
Thank you. Strong blues sound to build around. Great video.
Cool! Been watching IV8888 with a guitar in my hands and was like "Wow. They're shooting guitars up. Cool! WOW! They got a guitar channel!"
Awesome! I've actually always been sort a heavy metal kind of guy and played that for some time back in the days but now I suddenly got a taste for country music and blues and turned out I can play very little of that cuz it's a whole different world for me. So I apreciate those hints and licks. Alot of that stuff you can't really fully grasp untill someone actually explains it to you. Like you hear notes playing and you know where to play them but the mood isn't on untill someone explains to you all the nits an picks of how exactly that should be done to sound properly. Funny how I try playing blues and country licks on my neckthru ESP Horizon, floyd rose and all =)
