I love the idea of livestream videos but youtube's notifications are sketchy at best. But I feel like your audience would ask some great questions so even if I didn't catch the stream live, I'm sure there would still be a lot of good info. Great lesson, Blue!
I have been practicing this video for the last 4 hrs.OMG what an Aha time. I figured out the 4 and 5. This has blown me away, I've been waiting on a video like this for years . CANT THANK YOU ENOUGH!!!!!!
A livestream could be very intersting for your followers but don't forget the different local times of your followers. I think you have also a lot of followers from Europe. Like me 🙏
Another great lesson. One thing that helped me was to look at a picture of the fretboard with all the notes on it. I figure out the root, third and fifth for a chord and just scan the paper looking for any of the the three notes. When I find one I look for the other two and they are usually right there and you can figure out the triad for your self instead of looking at a book. When you search it out for yourself it also seems to be easier to remember. I then repeat it for each note until I do the exercise for all 7 notes.. I need to figure out arpeggios and modes one day...
Seriously on point as always. It is abundantly clear that you are here to teach rather than blow smoke. Such a change from all the other so called RUclips Guitar Teachers. A huge thanks. Champion stuff.
I have been learning to play guitar for years now from various RUclips instructors, also bought courses. I feel stuck sometimes as an intermediate player, but your videos definitely help and encourage me. I always find a new perspective or aha moment to the thing I already know. Great content and fantastic teacher, thank you! Greetings from Hungary, Europe.
Hi! I'm starting to watch your videos a couple of days ago...I've been self thought for 30 years but I actually never connected things until your simplicity let me understand what I probably knew but as I said after 30 years of playing even in many important gigs I was still in my comfort zone and confused ...you know what I mean thank you a lot

This video is wonderful.! I knew of but never played a couple of triads but never knew their connection to chords / scales so that I could solo from them. Now this makes sense and I can see the bigger picture as to how this all fits together. I can't thank you enough. I do think a live broadcast with questions and answers would be great. I have ordered both of your playing like a pro books. Craig Ewinger
Fantastic lesson, like all of your others that I’ve played. I totally agree that you deserve far more subscribers and I hope that comes for you. The way you weave in the chords with the scales and triads in such a clear way is quite unique and I really appreciate it. I have happily signed up for your Patreon as a result of these videos - really thankful for your efforts
Good stuff blue. This lesson would have saved me some time experimenting with triads and scales, I definitely put the work in. This definitely opened up the fretboard for me when I learned these concepts connected to the caged system. This should help a lot of players.
I just came across your lessons recently and they really stand out from most. I’m learning stuff! Thanks bro, I appreciate your teaching style and approach. Looking forward to more!
I love your content. Your explanations are very helpful and intuitive. I only wish that you would show the minor examples when you show the major. Keep up the great work!
Another great lesson. All of your videos are amazingly clear and targeted so that all levels will get something useful. Definitely undersubscribed channel! Thank you Blue.
A live stream would be interesting to try and see. You can make it available as a video after. While the video is not interactive, many players' questions will apply to a lot of other viewers that may not be in the right time zone for the live broadcast.
Awesome lesson Blue. Love your teaching techniques, they are very helpful to me as a wanna be player😊. YES!! Let’s do a live session!! I’ve never been in one, but I’m sure it’d be sooo cool. Thank you from a subscriber.👊

It's for either acoustic or electric, though more on acoustic It does use only open chords, but really the focus is on the right hand and playing. I recommend my students memorize both pentatonic shapes and interval shapes. That way both are fast enough we don't need to think about it. Thanks for watching 👍
Funny - this is how I think of things. In fact I generally don’t think of “notes” - I think entirely in intervals. Like if you ask me what the major third is of a chord I generally have to do the “whole whole / 4 intervals from the root” note math
The books do cover triads but it's not the focus of the books. Book 1 in minor pentatonic, connecting it to chords, triads, targeting chord tones, etc. Book 2 starts with similar things but all with Major Pentatonic and expands from there, including more on combining scales and chords.
I don't mind ypu wanting to make money but we just wanna learn. I am sick of patrion as there's an endless amount of it. Sorry this vent fell on you. It used to be we came to learn. Now it's just a ton of tid bits. Good luck. You're good
I plan to have videos of varying length and detail. It's surprising what does well on RUclips and what does not. It's not what you would think! Besides that, musicians hear this kind of complaint all the time. A standard answer is: Would you ask a chef to cook for free? You just wanna eat, right? We all have to make a living. You probably have a job. Do you do it for free? If we couldn't make a living doing guitar lessons, none of these videos would be here. There might be some who would teach for free but likely the quality of instruction would be low. The best teachers are the ones who have had the time to develop their craft and their teaching skills. How do they get good at that? By having the time to get good at teaching... gaining experience as a paid teacher. I've been doing this a long time. I'm glad you're learning from the videos, and there will be many more to come. Some long, some short. But I can't do them for free. I have bills to pay and loved ones to take care of.
