Very helpful! Been playing 35 years and trying to learn this. Thanks for putting it so simply
Yes! So happy this video helped you, Murray❤️
That was the easiest explanation I've ever listened to thank you
Awesome! So happy you liked it!
Creative and thorough teaching method, I appreciate the time you put into this! Helpful!
THANK you you much, Aran! I appreciate you commenting❤️
As someone who's been dabbling at guitar for years, I found this to be one of the clearest tutorials I have ever seen. Way to keep it simple while being immensely informative.
Awesome!!! Let's go! I appreciate your comment, Jeraldo❤️
Great lesson keep moving FORWARD with colours and simplicity 👌
Thank you, Danilo! Keep rocking! 🎸
@@LearningGuitarSecrets Me Likey !
This is the best CAGED I have ever seen!! For the first time I feel comfortable being in one as opposed to feeling TRAPPED 😅
Love it! Thank you so much for watching and for taking the time to write your great comment😊
Quite a unique way to teach it, but one of the BEST videos i've seen on Triads. It matches how my brain works. I think it's a must watch if you know a little about triads, but other tutorials aren't doing it for you. This is a great way to visualize the fretboard.
Awesome, Chad! So happy you liked it❤️ Thank you so much for your comment. It means a lot.
Thank you very much. Please include a video showing how the triads can be used to play songs, solo, etc.
As someone new to the guitar and in my mid 60’s I found it very helpful in the way you simplified the lesson great stuff I look forward to your next video
Thank you so much, Geoff! Looking forward to seeing you there😃
Promised I’d learn to find any triad in 10 minutes. Totally delivered. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for watching! And for taking the time to comment. It means al lot❤️
I have played guitar for almost 50 years. i never knew what double stops were for decades. then i found out it was just two notes, which is what i learned is called a Dyad.
👍
Same for me and I’ve been playing for around 40 years. To be fair, I was about 20 or 25 years in when I learned what they were lol, but still way too long
I have watched what feels like hundreds of video's on the fretboard and finding triads and this hands down was the simplest explanation.
I appreciate it, David!
agree , helps alot
Nice break down of triads and how they are laid out across the fretboard. It took me years and years to understand the value of triads. My life as a guitar player could have been a lot less frustrating if I would have learned this lesson when I first picked up a guitar. Beginner's take note.
Thank you! You taking the time to write this really means a lot❤️
That's amazing. I've been playing for 38 years and never learned an easy way to find triads. Thanks!
So happy this works for you!!! Awesome!
The floodgates of my mind have literally been blown wide open. I too have watched many other vids on this topic but this is the best hands down. I will be watching many more of your videos. I can’t thank you enough!!!!!❤. BTW I love seeing the caged system just appear before my eyes.
Let's go!!! Love it, Wayne!!! So happy this video helped you and everything clicked💪
Hey brother. I’ve been trying to understand triads for a long time. None of the videos I watched clicked with me. I came across your’s randomly. Finally, after spending hours and not getting it, I watched you and everything fell into place. Between the explanation, and the visual charting it seems so easy. Thank you very much for this. You have a new follower.
I really appreciate you watching and your comment. So happy this finally clicked!!!💪
I’ve been watching guitar tutorials on RUclips for some time now. This is easily one of the BEST videos. Easy, lucid explanation. Thank you.
Wohooo! Thank you so much! I appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment. It means a lot❤️
Found your channel today and I have to say it’s great stuff. I appreciate the time you are taking to help beginners like myself. Thanks
I appreciate you watching! Thank you for taking the time to comment❤️
Thanks, I had watched other videos that talked about CAGED but never quite understood. This made everything very clear.
This is wonderful🎉 Thank you so much for watching and for your comment. ❤️ So happy it helped.
I love playing triads and the open, airy simple sound it gives players. Your video was very informative. I've been playing for 24 years and it's always great to learn new ways of seeing.
THANK YOU❤️
This is the clearest explanation for triads and the CAGED system I have seen. Thank you so much.
So glad to know it helped you! Thank you for taking the time to comment. It means a lot!
@@LearningGuitarSecretsI agree with @choochoochooseyou. AWESOME JOB PROFESSOR!!
Thank you. Finally someone who has explained it simply but with so much info. Keep these vids coming 🎸
So happy to hear you liked this one❤️
ive watched several videos similar slight changes over several weeks and this really helps memory with identifying notes cheers man
Thank you!
I am watching this again. I am around the five minute mark. Wish I would have found you or your method years ago. Would have save so much time and money. No one teaches this stuff. Simply amazing.
I am so happy you are liking this way of teaching❤️ It took me so long to figure this out but it's very simple, isn't it?
I am a self taught guitarist getting back to it after a long absence. This presentation is inspired! And inspiring! Very well explained. Makes visible and clear the basic pathways of the fretboard. Thank you! Will be looking at your other videos.
Awesome! Thank you so much❤️ So happy it inspired you🎉
Precisely as described and delivered concisely and with clear accuracy.
Thank you
Excellent presentation
I appreciate you, Joe! Thank you for watching and for taking the time to write such a great comment❤️
Triads explained so well many thanks Den. Thanks for taking the time to help.🎸👍🎶
I appreciate you watching through all platforms❤️
This is by far one of the best videos I have seen on triads and a little about the CAGED system. The concept is new to me but I can understand it because he is a great teacher!
Thank you so much, Craig! I really appreciate your comment❤️
A great new perspective on how triads and caged octaves work together. Very logical m, simple and direct. Thank you
Glad you liked it! 😃🎸
I wish I found this video earlier in my guitar journey… But I’ll still claim a success, as any lesson is better for reinforcing what knowledge I have about any subject. This video is well thought out and extremely useful for visual learners. It takes a simplistic approach without applying an abundance of music theory. For any beginner, that’s a major plus. Mad kudos! I’m subscribing!
THANK YOU! I really appreciate the love🎉
WOW! Certainly a new way of thinking of putting triads together with color. Great video lesson that I'll watch multiple times!
Thank you! It's awesome to hear you enjoyed it! 🎸
Killer vid, Super understandable. I went to my guitar and started soloing b4 finishing the lesson. (however I did complete.) And I been playing for years. Gonna follow more stuff. Knowing them on piano triads and now able to show on guitar too. PRICELESS. Thanks man.
This is fantastic! Thank you so much for taking the time to come back and comment. It means a lot❤️
That was great. Really well structured making it so much easier to learn.
So happy you liked it❤️🎸
Thank you. I am really learning, you make it so I can understand it so easily. From the UK 🇬🇧
Fantastic!!! So glad to hear these videos are helping you❤️ Cheers!
Great stuff as usual. Very helpful for all.
Thank you so much, Steve!
This was excellent. Much better than I was expecting. Thank you for posting this. It was a very nice breakdown.
😍 Thank you so much for watching and commenting. I saw your other comment too😊
Wow your teaching method has really lit up the fretboard, this has helped with connecting the shapes along the board, thank you 👏❤️
Thank you! It's awesome to hear this video helped you❤️
Thanks for the THEORY lesson :)

Awesome job. To get it through to my thick head is quite an accomplishment. Thank you. Im subscribing.
Awesome, Dennis! Thank you so much for the love🎉
I'm a lifelong drummer trying to learn guitar. Your videos are great!
Oh you're going to breeze through it!! Being a drummer rhythm is already there which, in my opinion, is the most important thing❤️ I appreciate you taking the time to comment and watch, Sean😃
May i pay tribute… This is for me the very best informative video out there on triads, beautifully explained in a simple manner. I’ve struggled time and time again to understand triads etc, but not anymore.. Thank you..
Thank you so much! I saw your comment on my other video. I appreciate you❤️
@@LearningGuitarSecrets Just Purchased your book such is my belief in your teaching ..
The manner of presenting the strings and their relationship to each other was revelation for me. Now my scales including the various modes are easier to navigate up and down the neck.
Let's go!!! So happy this helped!
I really appreciate your logical explanation on Triads. Thank you.
Thank you Bill! I appreciate you too😃
Your teaching on the triads and how the caged system is formed is the clearest so far in my opinion. To further add that the triads are formed by the 1st, 3rd and 5th notes of the scale of each note would also be informative.
Thank you!!!
Yes, for sure. 1st (RED) 3rd (BLUE) 5th (GREEN) 😉
Bringing it all together. What a Great Teacher. Theory made simple. WOW.
Thank you! I really appreciate your comment🤗
This reinforces Ricky Cominsky's 5R3 technique. I love it.🥰
thank you!
Thx, that’s the first time I’ve understood this concept. I’ve played going. On five decades by ear . I’m 68 years old and playing three hours a day and growing with my skills out of intermediate level.
Yes! So happy to hear this video helped you😍
Really great how you explain this so well and so visually understandable. You rock! :)
Thank you, Donald!
amazing explanation - crystal clear.
Thank you! I appreciate it.
Thanks you so much for explaining the details, After seeing this lesson I’m dusting my guitar to start my practice routine
Let's go!!! So happy for you, Daniel!!!

I truly needed it to be explained to me this. I have a much better time understanding my instrument.
So happy it helped you😍
This is the slickest explanation I have ever seen! amazing!
Thank you so much, Nathan!! I really appreciate your comment
thank you,Sir.beautifully explained
I appreciate it❤️
Good stuff. Take it another step and show how these triads are movable, thus defining ALL triads anywhere.
Awesome, Richard! I was thinking of part 2 being moving the blue note to make them minor😃
Really clear - light bulbs going on in my brain💡 - Thanks so much and keep up the great explanations and visualizations!!
So happy to hear this, Sean! Thank you for taking the time to write your comment. It means a lot.
Great, finally It started to make sense!!! Thanks 🙌

YEEEES! So happy for you! 🤩
@@LearningGuitarSecrets thank you! I just discovered your channel. Subscribed and will be checking out more from you.
thank you! very good explanation and helpful!
Thank you so much for watching, John!
Brilliant video, thank you 👍 Only thing I don't understand is the thick thin terminology but I guess the colors makes visualizing the root string part vs the strange 2nd string interval easier.
Thank you! Each pair of strings has a thicker (ceiling) and a thinner (floor)
As someone who is aware they are using triads when playing, this really helped with clarity. Thanks
So happy to hear this video helped you❤️ I appreciate you taking the time to comment😊
Your a great teacher ( educator )👌🏽
Thank you, Gary! So happy that you enjoyed the video. It means a lot that you took the time to comment😊
Id say that's quite brilliantly explained for me.
Im a very visual person when it comes to instructions.
Nice one!
Thank you so much!❤️
As one would say, every person interoperates the learning process differently. Some visually, others use a combination of visual illustrations and theory combined to achieve that knowledge. Thank you for a well-illustrated presentation for all concern. Keep rocking brother.
I appreciate it, Paul!
This was helpful for me to understand where to find triads. I can see creating the other 3 triads (minor, diminished, augmented) on the same page and then doing one page for each key. Wouldn’t actually take long.
The lesson I am looking for would be to relate triads to the pentatonic scale patterns. I can be doing lead and now I want to slide back to rhythm. If I am doing a key of C lead, what would be an easy C, F, G?
Good question. If you're playing in the key of C, use the C major pentatonic scale shape under the C shape chord, for example. Roots on the 5th and 2nd strings.
CAGED explained by a Great teacher!Fantastic!!
Thank you!!!
That was an awesome lesson seriously thank you. I’ve watched a lot of videos about this topic and they seemed a little to much sometimes but this was like triads for dummies and I got the CAGED idea in the same video man much appreciated!!
Oh yeah definitely subscribed
So cool! Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a wonderful comment. It really means a lot❤️
Great explanation, just phantastic
THANK YOU ❤️
Very informative and simple. Perfect 😃
Thank you so much, Patrick! I appreciate your comment🤗
Good explaination. Thanks.
So glad you enjoyed it!
Very very helpful. Thank you 😊
You're welcome! Thanks for the thumbs up. Means a lot!
Thanks for the lesson.
Please tell me how do you keep your guitar so clean?
I clean it with an old tshirt
Great lesson thanks
Thank you!
Brilliant, thanks Den 👍
Thank you❤️
That is a very helpful video. What software program are you using to show the visuals on the fretboard? It really helps the visualization of understanding the relationship of notes to chords
Thank you! That is Canva paired up with "recoding screen" on Quicktime.
explained that very well, thanks
Thank you! I appreciate you watching!
Really great lessons
Thank you, Richard!
great lessons sir
Thank you!
Very helpful indeed. Subbed! What software are you using to notate?
Thank you for the love! Much appreciated❤️ I'm using Canva on my computer and recording with Quicktime and a second camera.
Three minutes into the lesson and I realised that there is some gold information here.
Thank you!
Another great one, tnx !
So happy you liked it!
Brilliant, Den!
So good to see you here, Les!
Great vid! Thank you so much. I love Canva...I'm curious if you could share what shapes/elements you used to create the fretboard? Thanks!
Of course! Plain lines. Just throw 6 lines, select them all, click "position" then "tidy up". You can then export it as "transparent background" and you have your template👍
Great !!! Thanks 😊
You're welcome! So happy you liked it!
I liked it! I can use it! Thanks!
Awesome! Thank you for liking the video. It means a lot❤️
Wow
i practice only since 3 weeks and know some of the fretboard and how to count from the start and the 3 5 7 9 dots. but i had difficulty remember per string so fast and this will help alot i haven't seen this anywhere else..
i have myself also alot of papers made with simple theories made from a lot diffocult explained videos but had not yet seen this is so chronologically per 2 strings
So happy you found this early in your journey! I wish I would of understood this earlier😅
This was great...Thanks!
Awesome! So happy you liked it, Richard!
Great breakdown of a couple of things I've heard about as a beginner guitar player, but where I hadn't connected the dots yet (pun intended). Thanks!
Love it! I appreciate you taking the time to comment💪
Wow! Well done!
Thank you!!
Excellent!!
❤️THANK YOU❤️
Nice job, very understandable 👍
Thank you, Bill. I appreciate your comment. It means a lot😃
amazing technique...Very helpful! ..auto subscribe.
Thank you so much! So happy you liked it🎉 I appreciate the love❤️
Homogenous mix. I learned caged shapes, by understanding Triads first. Some do it other way round. But you must do the journey...
👍
I will have to view this a couple of times, i got lost at some point, probably cause I started tinkering with some of these concepts!😊
😃 That's a good sign!!! Let me know how you like it the second time💪
Nice method. Seems pretty clear and understable. I’ve Got to throw it on my fretbord with my guitar on the knees. But I must admit that I felt comfortable while I was looking at your video.
Thanks so much for all this knowledge. 🫶
Awesome, Vincent! I appreciate you watching😃
