Eh. I know it’s a joke, but the whole “You’re just time wasting trolls” speech felt like it was genuinely talking down to sonic fans who were pretty justifiably angry about something they were passionate about.
It actually got me a bit legit angry.
I don't even remember fans getting too pissed off. All they did was voice their opinion and crack jokes. Funny how Conan made this sketch to make fun of oversensitive trolls when he's the one being oversensitive by confusing people poking fun with being malicious.

Does anyone else listen to the "Inside Conan" podcast where two of the writers talk about what goes into making "Conan" every week? They talked about what goes on to creating sketches and how they shoot things and how they create the costumes and sets sometimes in less than 24 hours. The new "Sonic" trailer just dropped hours ago. I can't help but think how long ago they thought of this sketch: A few months ago when the Twitter outrage on the "Sonic" trailer happened and the studio promised to re-design the character and they thought, "Let's do a sketch on that" and THEN they started creating the costume and they just decide to do the sketch when the new trailer dropped.....or did they start creating that costume AFTER the new trailer dropped. If it's the latter, it's super impressive!
There's no way they started on that costume after the trailer dropped, not with the included animatronics for the mouth and ears.
