- We found our new favorite town in New England! Today we are checking out Mystic, Connecticut, the popular seaport village we've heard a lot about. It's an adorable town along the Mystic River, offering some neat shops, the famous Mystic Pizza (as featured in the 1988 Julia Roberts movie Mystic Pizza) and also has a neat open air museum called the Mystic Seaport, which we visit and take a boat ride at.

Old Captain Bob of the M/V Melanie misses the rowdy times at no longer Jolly Beggar Pub. Dark beer and sea chanties til the wee hours of the morn. Let old hearts listen for the spirited times whisper from evening shadows as if it be directly from an old chance visit of Brigadoon itself.
Love Mystic! I’ve eaten at that ice cream shop and it’s delicious! One place I love in Mystic is the Old Mystic Village. Lots of cute shops (they have a whole shop for dog toys!) and restaurants. And, of course, the aquarium with beluga whales! 😁

What a beautiful area, that boat tour was stunning. Carly needs an Instagram, she's rocking the travel adventure photos. I was hoping you would get a slice of pizza while in Mystic, heck yeah!!
Haha maybe we should make an Insta for Carly, but then what we would post on our own account?? lol. It was pretty cool to visit Mystic Pizza, even if the pizza was Pizza Hut-esque. 😂

Mystic is one of our favorite towns here in Connecticut! Old Mystic Villiage is a cute area to walk around in as well. Mystic Aquarium is worth a visit so you can meet Juno (the coolest beluga whale ever) he loves to pose for pictures with you. It's adorable!
Mystic was such a nice town! We'll have to visit the aquarium and Old Mystic Village when we go back. Thanks for the recommendations!

We weren't sure that we'd have enough time for both the museum and aquarium, so we skipped one. She was really well behaved in Connecticut! I think NYC wore her out. 😂
