5 years as an Infanteer now going into my 12th year as an MP in the Aussie Army. I was gifted a 1 ITC flag from one of the MPS Regt guys I worked with at MCTC while I was on Long Look in 2015. Played RMP 7s for MPS Regt, made some great mates and am trying to organise a return trip next year.
I'm a South African infanteer and all I want is a hard working and fit female infanteer at my side. If you can do it, want to do it and maintain doing it then do it. One must always keep in mind what our job is all about. Love from the South African Army!🇿🇦
The problem I hated about being Officer was the loads of paper work you end up doing constantly, it is never ending. Why your guys, and girls are doing front line military skill's, you are sitting under a tree filling out forms, and reports. Even with the best time management formats, there is never enough time during training weekends, and parade nights, so you end up doing a lot at home. At the end of the day you have to ask why you joined the Army Reserve to do ?
@@cklonmckie358 I’m not quite sure but I think she’s in the 7th Rifles as I think she’s based in London somewhere (I think) I’ve never heard her ever say which one in any of her videos but just saying her main Regiment is the Rifles (unless I missed her saying which one) but it’s either 6th, 7th or 8th but I think I’ve heard her say she’s based in London and if so it be the 7th Rifles I think. Sorry can’t be anymore help as I’ve never heard her ever say which one. I do think she will do very well tho as she seems very motivated in making it in the British Army and becoming an officer.
Hello, I have an in-law in the Nigeria Army who is interested in joining the British Army he is 27 years and he needs nomination from a person in the UK army. I heard recruitment is ongoing from 19 to 26 August 2024. I pray you can help as a referral
I am really confused with you - you have more cap badges and uniforms than Mr Ben - you’re not a soldier are you? RAMC, royal London regiment, Coldstream guards and RMP?? Which are you? Also I take it that you’re a rupert? In which case you definately aren’t a Tom! I’m not one for having a go at people on here but I earned my cap badge and my rank, my son did the 32 weeks guard course at catterick to be a grenadier guard so I struggle to see that you are genuine? I’m happy to be corrected but I don’t think you are in a position to come on here and advise people on what it’s like to join the army especially the infantry!
How have you found infantry being a female ? I really want to join the infantry and I love the field craft and exercise side of things but am not sure if it would be a struggle.
I'm really enjoying it so far. There's obviously the slight pressure of needing to be fitter to be able to do the job but it's great fun, there's lots to learn and always a new challenge.
With the greatest respect, take this from somebody who knows, could you imagine yourself using a bayonet & compete hand to hand gutter killing with a russian infantryman. This is not a negative comment it can & does happen like in the falklands & Iraq, this is what the infantry can be called upon to do. If you still decide to go the infantry route I wish you good luck, you will need it.
@@clivemaskell2439 Yes I see what you mean. I know someone who told me can you imagine yourself in a hand to hand combat to the death with a full grown male and to be honest, as much as I push myself in everything, realism is absolutely crucial in war and there is no way I would want to jeapordise anyone. Since I've been thinking of applying and still want a combat role of sorts, I think something in the weapons department would be a healthy ground.
For once you have to ditch the girl power bullshit sometimes the infantry isn’t a man’s role never mind a female role - riots in Northern Ireland and Iraq, tabbing 40 miles plus the having to fight, going hand to hand with a Slavic mercenary come on get real
It’s so interesting how different the UK Army is from the US. How did you switch jobs so quickly? I’m in the US Army and you have to serve minimum 12 months in your current job (after graduating the job school which is anywhere from a couple weeks to a year long, depending on what it is) and you can’t be less than 24 months out of your service expiration date. It’s a bitch if it turns out you hate your job. Also don’t listen to the naysayers. One of my best friends from officer school went infantry and then airborne ranger. She’s killing it as a platoon leader and the scariest of our cohort. Which is hilarious, because when we were prior enlisted together she was a friendly school teacher on the side. Girl can do it all
British infantry training no offence must be a lot easier than in by day in Cattrick back in 05 No chance a female was physically strong enough. That said well done
I wanted to join para, luckily my father introduced me to a bunch of ex infantry he met who wisely told me to join a trade corps then join their airborne unit.
Women are intellectually just as capable as men. Women are not physically as capable as men at running as fast or carrying heavy loads. Women in infantry = a symptom of decline of that nation and institution (uk army)
British military no longer a decent fighting force with women in infantry , to woke now, would love to see a female infanteer drag a fijian casevac LOL you put people in danger
That’s awesome. I can relate way too much to how you felt. Congrats

Glad you found the right unit to be in :)
Brilliant. Well done Chelsie!

Good choice. Infantrys where its at😎
No it's not 80 percent of the deaths are from infantry
Dayumn I can never be in the infantry it’s too difficult 😭

How easy was it to change units?
I changed roles, not units, as I was already attached to an infantry unit. So the process was essentially just paperwork - super quick and easy.

I've joined and done mod 3 but I'm still not sure what to do. I know infantry isnt for me and so many options
Hi Chelsie how did you know you wanted to be in Army ?:)
The role of the Infantry is to take and hold ground; and to kill the enemy!
And take and hold it up the arse
Have you done any at yet? If not look at the sailing part of at you can do all the courses through the reserve’s

Are you a regular soldier or a reservist? are you an officer or an enlisted soldier?
She started off as a reservist then went in full time, and considering she mentions Sandhurst you can assume officer
How do you do on the 8 mile cft
No way is this ‘ get on ur belt buckle and get your brothers back ‘ material .
When are you going to Catterick?
Never
Hey I'm from Grenada and I would like to know when the b.a would be recruiting common wealth folks?
You gotta have a UK passport and your fine
Are you regular or reserves ?
Reserves.
Are you full time or reserve
I am from india and how I join British army?
If your could enough to pass the training, go for it, you defo sound like officer material.
