    Coleman is probably one of the best male sprinters to never win an Olympic medal.
    It will be interesting to see how his form holds up from next year and beyond, however. Because he's not injured and seems to be running quick times but hasn't been able to nail peaking correctly when it matters, I think he still has time to get an Olympic medal. Not impossible, but it will be harder, especially given his racing history.
    He's changed coaches recently so hopefully, he can maintain himself to more medals and even more importantly, Olympic medals.

    • @TheoOJamaloO1
      @TheoOJamaloO1 2 месяца назад +10

      It's not a problem of peaking at the right time. For Coleman it's a mental problem. He ran an easy 9.86 at the US trials in the semi final so he was in low 9.8 shape there but he started to tense up again when he felt the others were closing in the final. If he would have stayed relaxed he would have made the team.

As it is 100M sprinters will often run the 200M and 4x1 relay. Back in the day some short sprinters would also do the long jump. tbh i cant see Coleman still running never mind running fast enuff to qualify in 4 yrs time, he gasses himself in the first half of a race and gets ragged at the end to the point where it looks like he is falling forward and only the sprinting is keeping him upright and its even more noticeable in the 200m, unless something drastically changes and he manages to improve his stamina i cant see him lasting more than another season or 2 at most

    I don't understand why they replace lindsey with bednaerk. They practised with him and they were runing previous heats with lindsey and now I don't know why right before finals they changed and it was bad for them because they didn't practise with Kenny so this is werid I just can't understand it.

    Strangely enough the 2nd 3rd 4th and 6th fastest men ever have never one an individual olympic gold medal Only Usain and Justin Gatlin have been able to pull off multiple individual medals at the Olympics Andre Degrasse who is not even in the top 10 for the hundred is more decorated at the Olympic games than men who were faster than he was.

    The 4x1 was clearly Badnarek’s error not Christian’s. More totally lazy prep by an American sprinter.

    • @fernsmp9416
      @fernsmp9416 9 часов назад

      Wouldn't really call it lazy prep. USATF needs to take some responsibility too. Bednarek was never on a college team where they run relays regularly and he had practically zero relay experience before that. Wallace Spearmon explains it on the Ready, Set, Go podcast. USATF chose to the take risk putting someone with no relay experience at any level, let alone world championship level, in the relay team with their usual limited training times for relays. Foot speed can't make up for lack of experience and technical errors like this.
