- In this video, I drive a 2017 Subaru WRX Premium CVT. This car was a blast to drive. The cvt automatic transmission was very surprising when accelerating with this car. That being said, I don't know how well it would hold up in the reliability department.

looks like pure joy
Nice vid bro
Hey dude, nice video. What exhaust system are you running on this car ?
I am definitely buying a Subaru WRX premium this June they are great cars
Best of luck in your search for one!
cant wait to get one working hard and saving up all year this year
Good luck! Hope you achieve your goals!
@@AntsCarReviewsturns out the cvt’s are pretty hard to find nowadays!
@@cophater298 not in PA. i got one 3 weeks ago with 30,000 miles for 20k. Shes absolutely perfect. on carvana and sights like that its flooded with CVT's
@@cophater298 I would say tho LOWWWKEY i have a feeling the next gen cvt is better I got a 2018 kinda wish i TEST DROVE a 22 just to compare but ill live
you should've made a vid where the viewer could actually see the road the whole time
Is there a BOV on there? I don’t here a flutter to obnoxiously but that pshhh sounds so good.
Yeah Cobb bypass Valve
Cvts aren't supposed to shift like a automatic or manual trans. Its causing excessive wear on a transmission never designed for high powered engine
this is my dream car bro
save up like 5/6k bro and u can get one
@@vonitosrevengewhat? where im at i cant get a wrx under for under 20k
@@ISIELY76finance
i owned this car and it feel underpowered, i had other lower hp cars and it felt more powerful....this one is like no torque nothing push u back
I really, truly don't see the point of a CVT-equipped WRX sports sedan. Although I will say, the new re-tuned CVT in the 2022-2023 WRX known by Subaru as the Subaru Performance Transmission is far, far better than the last generation whose attributes and responsiveness belong in a Forrester. Although I personally bought the 6speed Sport Tec and see no point in an automatic for this fun little runabout, the SPT is quite smooth and responsive.
Why u shaming ppl in buying auto bro
Lol...Learn how to drive a manual, then we will talk. @@dwights1024
that fact that you said you dont see the point of a cvt but the SPT is better shows you nothing about cars and this platform. lmfao. SPT is a CVT. just rebranding. manual drivers say the same about the SPT in the new gen.
I bet my cvt gaps your 6 speed tho.
@deefwxp5378 Does your grandmother know how to drive manual ??
I’m not putting anyone down, there are obviously practical reasons for this combo. But I have 0, ZERO, interest in an auto performance car, let alone a CVT. Just seems so unnatural. I’d rather just drive an Accord.
no one asked tho. lmaooo
Nobody asked for your input either 🤷♂️
I recently test drive a CVT WRX just to see how it would feel. Shifts are pretty crisp, sure you're losing the manual feel but I will say don't knock it till you try it, Subaru CVT is pretty decent. Reliability might be a different story
@@GK_SquidReliability is fine if you change the transmission fluid every 30k to 50k miles. And of course you drive it with some care and never launch it.
