So I'm an arm amputee, it's why I bought a CVT. I'm stage 2 with a boost controller and a pro tune. I run Cobb intake, accessport, and all invidia exhaust. What I've wanted to know ever since I got my '15 CVT: What did Subaru do to get 296 HP and 295 lb ft. out of the WRX S4? In five years I have yet to find any information on it. I know the engine is more than capable to produce the power. I'm just curious what they either did to their CVT, or if it's in fact a different CVT entirely. I mean, they ONLY offered the S4 with the CVT. They must have known something that COBB didn't.
@@dimensionjester9052 Unfortunate to say the least. Seeing as how Subaru is well aware of the tuner scene, they certainly shot themselves in the foot by making one of the most (of not the most) expensive part of their sports car, one of its more fragile.

@@dimensionjester9052 Agreed. It would have added to the manufacturing costs since they can share the CVT across the other platforms more easily as opposed to the dual clutch. It's a shame really. I mean wheel slip actually. From what I understand, the CVT doesn’t allow for wheel slip for continuous length in time. My CVT couldn’t handle an intake and COBB port just so you know. I bought my car brand knew in rinebek New York. And... that car couldn’t handle any mods at all, it’s in the shop rn and I didn’t make 230 HP .__.
Then you bought a piece of shit because they make 268 horsepower bone stock
