  • Buckingham Palace has announced that, despite his cancer treatment, The King will be well enough to go to France next month for ceremonies marking the 80th anniversary of D-Day. Historian and Broadcaster Rafe Heydel-Mankoo explains the significance of D-Day, 6 June 1944, and explains why The King's attendance is so important.

    If there had been two or three MALE officers instead if one being a woman, they might have been able to subdue him more safely and easily...female cops put people at greater risk.

      Actually, I've surprisingly warmed up to KC. He just exudes warmth and charm in his later years and I admire his fortitude in the face of adversity.
      The time isn't right yet for the next king. I'm glad William and Catherine have some time yet for recovery and privacy.
