Joe is such a wonderful person... ...sometimes the amicable village idiot and other times the most thoughtful caring person ever. And then you get Super Smart Joe! His insights into TCGgo is amazing! The last couple of minutes of this video is the best example of of BOTH 'offering' and 'receiving' criticism I've seen in a while.
Joehills' comment about being able to play some part of the game is incredibly on point. I don’t have the money to blow on a ton of cards but I want to play with my kids and have the opportunity to try different styles
Pigs aren't messy, well unless you see them cooling down in mud as messy, which it also isn't. Pigs will have strongly dedicated places for different activities in their living space. Their place to sleep is only for sleeping, their place to eat is only for eating, and so on for other things like a specific place to cool down, to poop or to just play. All of them are separated, as long as you give them enough space, mind you.
They can be fairly destructive in their food areas, though. They will reshape the terrain as they go through looking for stuff to eat. Those snouts are strong!
I was about to comment the same thing. Apart from cooling down, wallowing also has a secondary function of removing or preventing skin parasites latching on.
Pigs are actually some of the cleanest animals. They will eat pretty much anything and love mud baths, but they will only use clean mud. They hate having a dirty pen and will call out for it to be cleaned. Now if you want a messy animal (besides dogs) sheep are your animal. Sheep, much like goats, will escape anything and seem to take pride in destruction; but they get so much gross stuff in that thick wool.
Goats are menaces 😂 Got a goat in with my horse n pony but i can only pick which field the horses are in because the goat will just climb the fence, luckily shes pretty attached to the horses so she doesnt wonder off. She is annoying tho when im grooming my horse because she thinks the brushes are snacks and also tries getting my attention by getting stuck (she sticks her head in the fence and her horns get stuck). Shes super funny tho
You could add things like carrots and apples and berries on invisible item frames on the pig area to make it look even more messy and like they have just being fed that by other people
Hey beef, for the decking out issue of tcg go, u can consider a mechanic whereby once the player has decked out, their hermit will take damage like 30 health at the start of their turn whenever they try to draw another card.
I like this, but the penalty might have to be more like 60 damage since the games are so short and the penalty needs to be serious. Or an additive number with +20 or +30 every time you try to draw
16:56 "I wonder if there's a way..." - were you going to say, to know in advance if you've decked out? You could supply everyone with a single comparator and a redstone lamp - point the comparator from the deck to the lamp, and the light will turn off when there's no more cards :)
I don't comment on every video, and I've definitely said something similar to this before in the past...but after 12 years of watching your videos, I still find comfort and relaxation from just listening/watching you do literally anything. You should hear this more often, but thank you for providing us with the entertainment and joy over the years, I look forward to many more years of videos!
Pig are the 5 th most intelligent species in the world. They coat themselves in mud so they won’t get sunburned. I love them soo much. If I could I would have one as a pet but I don’t have the space or money to take care of one.
Taking the time to add details like those on the sliding door is what makes your builds stand out! Could iron bars in the vent places - though that may make it look like a prison.
The pig pen is wonderful - so detailed. I imagine the addition of the soul sand gives it another sensory dimension like getting stuck in the mud as you walk around. Also, loved seeing you in the Minecraft 15 year video!
Grew up on a hog farm, this is where dirt slabs would come in handy to go against the fence. Hogs push mud and dirt all over every single fence you put them in
The original Top Gear was awesome, I agree! I love your pig pen. Pigs root around in the ground, so having all different levels of dirt and mud is perfect.👍
I hope you get to feeling better soon. As a fellow farmer and new to Minecraft(no internet in the woods so on my phone) I am a big enjoyer of your contest. I only play games that include farming. So please keep up the good work my man.
I've been watching since early mindcrack days, and I just really need to express how amazing the music has been this season. I have always loved your production value but the MUSICCC, as a girly from the Appalachia region I am a big fan
Hey beef, I've been watching your vids since season 1 of the mindcrack server and I haven't watched In a while but watching this series makes me so happy to see you're still making videos and you are still your amazing beefy self ❤
You could totally do the King of the Hill style, but you multiply one side's HP so it's like a raid battle. You get multiple people coming in one after another to whittle down the boss's HP bar until someone does it.
as far as doing tcg go matches with fans, i think itd be cool to style it more like a raid boss, where the fans are working together to take down a hermit with the go rules, except that the hermit would have an unlimited deck ( or at least an expanded one). itd be cool to have the feeling of the evil x and pharoh boss fights while also being cooperative.
Don't know if you've put one in, but a trough would be cool in the pig pen. Maybe just some trapdoors on top of podzol with some carrots, potatoes, and other bits of armor stand magic
Pigs look great! Maybe some mushroom farms now? Maybe set up in an old air raid shelter at the edge of the farm? Hope you have a better ventilation setup haha Jokes aside top gear was great, and I am enjoying Grand Tour and Clarkson Farm as well. Definitely getting some of the latter vibe from this episode haha
If i may suggest something, try swapping the lever for a shield, they have a handle that might look even better for the sliding door. That is, if you manage to make the rest of the shield not stick out of the trapdoors. Anyway, hope you recover fully soon!
Love what Joe mentioned about TCG. I bought as much as I could while supplies were available for HermitCraft TCG and still don't have two decks. So, I spent the money (I don't regret it) and can't actually play.
An option for not knowing if the other player decked out or not can be done with putting a specific item in a barrel and having it done in secret. If they have to use the barrel regardless of drawing or passing, the other person won't know. That eliminates the "oh, I see you're pressing the button" stuff.
I always felt like an item frame card could have an effect that temporarily blocks the use of other items like when you put your first axe into an item frame during the first few days of a new world. You can no longer use that axe, as long as it's in an item frame. As a card, it could buy you an extra round to set up a victory when otherwise you would lose. It seems like it would be pretty important in a shorter version of htcg.
You could play TCG teams. 2 teams. When a team member dies a new team member is up. Winner stays on untill dead and then a new team member takes over when dead.
For the TCG Go, a balance/penalty for running out of cards could be a loss of health rather than immediate game over. Maybe in the range of 20-50 health each turn or use the randomizer with Heads = -20/Tails = -40? You can rush the play to get your cards out quickly but it could bite you in the end.
@14:20 for decking out, I am not too familiar with this TCG game but other games have a penalty where once you are out of cards you start drawing cards that lose you health. usually increassing by each turn. so -1 hp, -2 hp, -3 hp etc..... For this game it might be cool to have a random - hp cards that you refill your dispencer with once you deckout. So you can still play but at the end of the turn you draw and it might kill you. For random - x hp cards I would do the following { -1, -1, -2, -3, -5, -8, -13, -21, -35 } one for each dispencer slot. ps I have no idea how much lifegain you can get in this game so maybe you can outlive this or maybe you get unlucky and draw a -35 and die, but then again you did deckout ! What do you think? Can you play test it or would -1 hp each turn be more consitant? Great content as always
Lol sometimes I feel the armor stand mod gets over used and the pigpen handle I think is a good example of that where a simple button would convey a handle very nicely
I think for HCTCG GO when you run out of cards your hermit should every turn just take some damage(10 maybe 20hp). This would help with items like flint and steel, while still having the sens of danger for being out of cards. And for plaing with fans you could have some sort of "Boss Mode" Where you have more cards in your deck and maybe even more health, so fans need team effort to take you down.
I think it may be good for rhe king of the hill as an idea for if you knock out a Hermit maybe you gain a small amout of health back whether if its 20 to 50 depending on play testing.
I don't know the exact point at which these time lapses become too fast, but you definitely went over that limit with that pig area. It made me kinda dizzy 😵💫🤪 Love the pig pen though, turned out great 👍
King of the Hill sounds like it would be a fun separate game mode that would require its own additional stuff to work well, sort of like this games version of magics commander mode Maybe have a deck made up of cards that otherwise arent playable in go with alt rules that you draw if you win and stay on to give a bit of advantage to help you stay on. Just have the alt rules on a pamphlet so dont need new cards etc.
Idea - would you consider putting a spider web in the corner of the pen and maybe an anchor stand spider....just like Charlotte from the book/movie Charlotte's Web!
the pig pen needs a cobweb in the corner- for Charlotte
It would be tedious but he could use armor stands to make a web that says "some pig"
@@yawnberg i thought the same thing, lol… maybe have a spider as an honorary farm animal named charlotte? could be a cool side-lore lol
I bet he could even put an armor stand spider in there!

When you make your path, make it have parallel, eroded grooves like you'd find when the tractors' tires would take the same route everyday
Pigs aren't messy, well unless you see them cooling down in mud as messy, which it also isn't.

well muddy is messy by definition but I understand what you're saying.
I was about to comment the same thing. Apart from cooling down, wallowing also has a secondary function of removing or preventing skin parasites latching on.
@@quen_anito Being covered in mud/dirt also helps prevent sunburn
Imagine someone covered in mud in your house saying they're not messy. Contrived I know, but name another farm animal messier?
Pigs are actually some of the cleanest animals. They will eat pretty much anything and love mud baths, but they will only use clean mud. They hate having a dirty pen and will call out for it to be cleaned.
Now if you want a messy animal (besides dogs) sheep are your animal. Sheep, much like goats, will escape anything and seem to take pride in destruction; but they get so much gross stuff in that thick wool.
but you can sheer it off... then they're so cuddly and nice
Goats are menaces 😂

Give VintagePork a break he didn't know, most people don't. And he's had Covid.
You could add things like carrots and apples and berries on invisible item frames on the pig area to make it look even more messy and like they have just being fed that by other people
Wels and Beef’s base really give the old school build vibes which I’ve definitely missed in the past few years

Like in hearthstone, overdraw. Nice
I know he was laughing at himself but the door slider looks so good!
16:56 "I wonder if there's a way..." - were you going to say, to know in advance if you've decked out? You could supply everyone with a single comparator and a redstone lamp - point the comparator from the deck to the lamp, and the light will turn off when there's no more cards :)
22:31 pigs planning his escape out the side window haha
joe did a superb job game testing and reveiwing! this video was a joy all the way through
I don't comment on every video, and I've definitely said something similar to this before in the past...but after 12 years of watching your videos, I still find comfort and relaxation from just listening/watching you do literally anything. Evil is one of my FAVORITE songs, genuinely makes me so happy to hear it mentioned
I don't watch your videos super often, but when I do I always love the smooth chill vibes. Hope you recover and feel better soon.
I personally appreciate every details you add, no matter if they are massive or tiny details 😊And speaking of The Stig, I miss your racing videos 😃
Pig are the 5 th most intelligent species in the world. They coat themselves in mud so they won’t get sunburned. I love them soo much. If I could I would have one as a pet but I don’t have the space or money to take care of one.
The farm is on its way to being a representation of Ol MacDonald’s farm with the piggies
So i think a couple of composters partially filled would look like a pig trough
Taking the time to add details like those on the sliding door is what makes your builds stand out! Could iron bars in the vent places - though that may make it look like a prison.
A dead bush in the middle to signify the pigs have stripped/eaten some bushes away
Instead of losing when you Deck Out, what about taking damage if you can't draw?
Fatigue Damage just like Hearthstone.
be better soon beef! miss your videos 😢 the pig pen looks great,I think the messiness just got the right enough information density! Love it
Love the Pig Pen Beef, it's great. Hope you feel 100% soon
The pig pen is wonderful - so detailed. I imagine the addition of the soul sand gives it another sensory dimension like getting stuck in the mud as you walk around. Also, loved seeing you in the Minecraft 15 year video!
Can always count on Vintage for a true homestead--feel better soon!
Love the song you played during the outdoor terrain montage for the pig pen!
Hey Beef, Pearl played your basalt drop game in her latest episode, btw. Also, a fun name for one of your pigs would be Beef’s Pork.😊
I've been watching your videos for 12 years now, always look forward to new episodes.
I like how super detailed the pig pen is. It turned out amazing! Hope you are feeling well soon 😊
for King of the hill mode: when you beat a player you get to revive 1 or 2 cards
We raised pigs for two years. They are always escaping!! Delicious...but destructive
Sometimes thoughts just pop in my head that this season Beef is almost like he's playing a 3D first person Harvest Moon/Stardew Valley.
With the pigs, you might enjoy Clarkson's farm. Pigs are a major thing in the newest season.
I hope you get to feeling better soon. As a fellow farmer and new to Minecraft(no internet in the woods so on my phone) I am a big enjoyer of your contest. I only play games that include farming. So please keep up the good work my man.
Currently rewatching all of season 7, the cyberpunk city is so amazing!
Pig pen door looks great but should have a handle on both left and right sides.
Great classic tune....love the music video too. Kinda nightmare fuel/lovely vibe
The pigpen looks amazing
Speaking of racing, wreckfest for breakfast. Still like the greatest phrase😂. We still can't just ask what's for breakfast without saying it.
I've been watching since early mindcrack days, and I just really need to express how amazing the music has been this season. I have always loved your production value but the MUSICCC, as a girly from the Appalachia region I am a big fan
Glad to see you build something been watching you for a long time and you builds are amazing
Also, maybe you could get a saddle remodeled (?) to look like wings for a very "When pigs fly" type of moment. LOL
Hey beef, I've been watching your vids since season 1 of the mindcrack server and I haven't watched In a while but watching this series makes me so happy to see you're still making videos and you are still your amazing beefy self ❤
Its funny watching the Hermits generate so many entities with the armor stand mod that can be fixed as as simple as McCaw's Doors.
Adding decorative mods is a step too far from what most of the Hermits are comfortable with. I doubt they'll ever add that kind of mod to the server.
You could totally do the King of the Hill style, but you multiply one side's HP so it's like a raid battle. You get multiple people coming in one after another to whittle down the boss's HP bar until someone does it.
so excited to see the Joel & Skizz cards!
Love the pig pen details, definitely worth it, very satisfying
Wish you a speedy recovery, Beef
For the pig pen window, you could replace the cracked stone brick block below the window with a wall. It should block the window for the piglet.
as far as doing tcg go matches with fans, i think itd be cool to style it more like a raid boss, where the fans are working together to take down a hermit with the go rules, except that the hermit would have an unlimited deck ( or at least an expanded one).

Pigs aren’t messy, they are usually very clean and intelligent animals, the pen looks great tho!
love your sliding door
Yay! A new video! So, um... IRL pigs are only super chewy on things when are confined to a small area.
You could always put some brown leather boots on an invisible armour stand to be your "muddy boots" just inside the door
An option for not knowing if the other player decked out or not can be done with putting a specific item in a barrel and having it done in secret. If they have to use the barrel regardless of drawing or passing, the other person won't know. That eliminates the "oh, I see you're pressing the button" stuff.
Pigs tend to have huge grass fields with pockets of mud in areas where theres shade, just for you to know :P looks good though!
could have put a spruce door next to the trapdoors in the pig pen to get the circle handle
I just realized that Beef is our cottagecore hero this season
Had to comment because Evil is such a good song. It brings me back to MTV2 which is where I heard it the first time and fell in love with the video.
The sliding door needs a little roller wheel at the top, on the track. Any very small bump would do.
Great episode beefers!
HC tcg go 2v2 would make cards like anvil valid without adding more to the game. Still 9 cards, still just quick(er) games
Loved the chill episode. Can't wait until TXT to is up and running
Evil is a great track! Actually the first song I ever covered with my high school band :P
Love the sliding door idea Beef! Looks so good.
I’ve missed you, Beefers! Glad you’re feeling better.
Bro I watched you when I was in middle school lmaoo I’m 23 now and glad to see you still doing yo thing🔥
You could play TCG teams.
2 teams. When a team member dies a new team member is up. Winner stays on untill dead and then a new team member takes over when dead.

You can rush the play to get your cards out quickly but it could bite you in the end.
Pigs are actually really sanitary animals. They like to toilet as far away from their feed as possible.
The pig pen is so cute 😍
@14:20 for decking out, I am not too familiar with this TCG game but other games have a penalty where once you are out of cards you start drawing cards that lose you health. usually increassing by each turn. so -1 hp, -2 hp, -3 hp etc..... What do you think? Can you play test it or would -1 hp each turn be more consitant?
Great content as always
I listened to Evil on the way home from work today. Great song
Sorry you got sick but I hope it wasn't too rough and you're recovered now!
Lol sometimes I feel the armor stand mod gets over used and the pigpen handle I think is a good example of that where a simple button would convey a handle very nicely
pigs are omnivores and will taste everything to see if it is edible, they are also susceptible to sunburn hence the mudpack skin care options.
Pigpen could use a custom "shade tree"!?!
I think for HCTCG GO when you run out of cards your hermit should every turn just take some damage(10 maybe 20hp). This would help with items like flint and steel, while still having the sens of danger for being out of cards.

Beef, your videos are gold. Figured you should hear it from a real fan instead of a bot.
Beef, I really dig the bluegrass music in this video!
The people miss you🤎‼️
Yeah
I don't know the exact point at which these time lapses become too fast, but you definitely went over that limit with that pig area.
It made me kinda dizzy 😵💫🤪
Love the pig pen though, turned out great 👍
Joe's idea sounds similar to format of Yu-Gi-Oh! called Rush Duel.
Very good beefy tune today!
2v2 arena. “Oh yeah”😂
King of the Hill sounds like it would be a fun separate game mode that would require its own additional stuff to work well, sort of like this games version of magics commander mode

Great sliding door idea!
Get well soon good sir.
big pork wants a word.
Love the series 10 videos!
What about a fence where the pigs can escape? Still lets air through
