You're so welcome! I'm glad that it helped you, we've all been there. I've got more similar content coming soon. Be sure to check out the others on camera settings and exposure 😊 Let me know if you have any questions or requests.
Congrats on the new camera! Even tough I have the Sony A7C now I still use the m50 for photography and sometimes as a second video camera. So glad these vids are helpful! I’ll be doing more content on the M50 soon!
My husband's been explaining this kinda stuff to me, and it's in through one ear, out through the other, lol. It helped to hear someone else explain it! I'm so looking forward to your next videos. Yes, off of auto is what we're shooting for, haha! Loved your hat, too.😀✌️
Hahaha it was like that for me at first but don’t worry it’ll sink in the more you do it and with the next videos we’ll figure it out together. Yes my buddy threw this hat in when I ordered my hoodie and cap. It’s been my mantra for awhile now 😁🤟🏼
Good explanation, Ermin. I needed this breakdown back when I first started and this camera stuff was all completely foreign. This will be especially helpful for people hoping to get the right gear the first time (hopefully) instead of buying and praying it’s right like I did early on. Unfortunately, I bought several lenses before realizing what the heck I was doing. 🙄
Same here bud, when I first started photography I was buying gear before I understood how to use the basic kit lens. 😆 I’m a lot wiser now but I also don’t have as much money 😂
HI, apology, little slow here,...if the max aperture number is 6.3, setting my camera to f11, how does it works? Lens is already smallest at 6.3, cant go smaller right ??
Check out 0:25 again. smaller number=bigger aperture opening which let's in more light. Big number=smaller aperture opening which let's in less light. It's kind of reverse thinking when it comes to aperture and FStop numbers. I'm working on a video all about aperture next. Stay tuned for that!

These basic videos really help me...when I watch others, people invariably take for granted how much they think people know. You explained this well!
So happy to hear that! I’ve got more of this sort of stuff that I’m working on to further help with understanding exposure, lenses etc.
Thank you for the video. I have been watching many videos talking about lenses but your video is so easy to understand for a beginner.

Your videos are so straight and to the point, thanks for all that you're doing. Just got myself the m50 mark II and absolutely loving it.

This is so awesome! Been trying to understand differences between lens to figure out which one to buy! You made it easy to understand!
I’m glad it was helpful, I’ll be diving into this topic more in future videos, like zoom vs prime, which lens for certain situations etc. Stay tuned!
Awesome this is so well explained. Definitely gonna help me level my production. Thanks for sharing.

can the kit lens shoot at a bigger f stop like f 9 or f11 or its limited to max at 6.3?
Absolutely! You can go up to F22 I believe. F6.3 is just the biggest aperture you can get at 40mm. Great question!
