Hey Athar. Greetings from Sydney Australia. I’m about to start building mine in a couple of days. Thank you so much for this build series, it’s been very helpful. This is my first kit build ever, wish me luck lol
Super helpful! Currently building mine. Still on bag #2. Still filing down those suspension arm spacers. I’ll watch this video throughout my build. Thank you.
I still have my old Mk 1 gold tub RC10 somewhere... along with several cutdown tubs, about 30 sets of wheels, more tyres than you can get in a dustbin, about 9 sets of shocks, and in the region of 20 different motors. God I used to love Thursday night indoor racing, seeing everything from ankles broken, to the core of a battery take someone's glass out of their hand, hair getting caught in gear trains and tyres burning people's skin... those were the days of wintergreen and small fires. I bought an RC10 B4 in about 2004, played with it a little looking to get back into racing then life took over and I haven't touched one since, it's good to see that the sport is still going (in America at least) I will have to have a look into the scene again in the UK.
I'm not sponsored I purchased this car with my own money, and I don't think this car is for everybody. I like the car, but the build was a bit frustrating. Also, I'm struggling to get the car to handle well. If you are a newer or intermediate racer, I'd recommend the XRAY XB4C 23. The newer guys that are getting into 4WD at my local track are much faster with their XRAY XB4C than the newer guys with the B74.2. Just my observations. It's hard for me to get a XRAY because they release a new car each year and I'm afraid of not having parts support for the car.
@@atharsgarage4197 yeah unfortunately I’m starting to figure out the same thing. I was going to get X-ray but I can’t get a new car every year either. Very frustrating but ae does have the best part support as far as I know.
We've tried to control it with gearing dependent on layout at our local track. We've tested anywhere from 23T-29T pinion, and 70-100% EPA on throttle, but after 5 minute mains, all motors are fairly hot. Ambient temperatures have ranged from 80°F to 60°F. None have gone into thermal protection. The fan does help keep the temperature cooler. I recommend putting a piece of double sided tape between the fan mount and the chassis to reduce the vibration as well.

A bit late to the party, but you steering link are reversed, the offset toward the wheels should be toward the front of the car.
Good catch! You are absolutely correct! I just checked my car and I seemed to have made that fix a while back.
Sounds like Xray is a better vuy.
Good to know. I won’t buy this car like I planned

I remember when motor heat was controlled by gearing
