That's a good fix. Bushwackers lack stainless hardware and the fasteners all back out as you stated. Thanks for sharing this fix

Pure gold! I'll add this one to the list for sure, great work.
    Thank you!

This will be our next project, I think! Thanks for another great video

Sam, you have the best ideas. So glad I did this project. When I went to remove the screws on my 1 year old 10HD, they practically fell out! I don’t know if it’s overkill, but I put a little butyl tape behind the gaskets-just enough so that it squeezed out the edges (especially on top).

Glad you caught it when you did. You might want to check the torque on the screws next season. We use butyl tape on our boat and it compresses over time.

I've been to 4 hardware stores and cannot find the 3/4" 10-24 binding posts. HD nor Menards carry them either. This is turning out to be the hardest part of this upgrade.

I hate to hear that. I will stop by the Ace Hardware I got them from Monday morning and get the information off the box for you and post that.

I stopped by our local Ace Hardware this morning and picked up some more. Their Hardware like that comes from Midwest Fasteners in Miamisburg Ohio. They refer to it as a thread post. That's really odd that your hardware stores did not have them and their Hardware selection. If you're unable to locate them locally just drop us an email and I'll work something out with you.

That’s even more bizarre because the first place I went was Ace. I’m going to check another Ace or two after work tomorrow. One of them is pretty big so hopefully they have them. Thanks for the addition info too.

Took 4 Ace hardware stores but I finally found the parts! Easy upgrade and should be a big improvement too. Thanks Sam.

@fade242black , good deal! Glad you found them. I ordered a whole box of them, they should be in before we leave for the Bushwacker Boil. I will put together hardware sets and have them there.
