    20 minutes to change filter and oil. An hour installing the shield and the 4200 screws. An engineering marvel? I think not! Thanks for the video. Big help addressing Multiecuscan!

      @@JFrogge1 I hear ya, I’ve done the shield with a socket wrench before. Brutal! Using a low impact driver is a game changer. You can remove the screws in less than 2 minutes.

      multiscan will not work on 2020 or above due to firewall, you need to install a bypass

      @@ldenorio Thank you for mentioning that. Mine is a 2019 and I believe it is the 2018 and up models that need the bypass module. I have one installed on mine and plan to do an install video soon of it.

    Did I miss something in regards to the blue and grey cables? I didn’t see when or where you used them. Great video thanks!

      @FixnDriveShow  5 месяцев назад +2

      For this project, the blue and grey aren’t needed, but if you purchase the modified ODBII connector, I recommend getting the blue and grey connectors for other projects.

    Do you have measurements for the wheel cradles you built? I'm going to build some and want to see how much lumbar to buy. Guessing from your video, they're about 20" long x 13" wide??

    • @FixnDriveShow
      @FixnDriveShow  Месяц назад

      @@Ben-dk8zw I just measured mine. 20”L x 12”W x 9”H. The height is where the tire rests. I add two more 2x4’s to the top for wheel chocks. The height is aggressive. I originally started out 5 inches high, but then I wanted to see if I could get it higher.

    Does that oil meet the fiat spec that’s called out in the manual? I’ve only used mopar and pennzoil European which do meet that spec. Not judging just curious.

    • @FixnDriveShow
      @FixnDriveShow  5 месяцев назад +2

      The Mobil 1 I use doesn’t have the Fiat Spec number, but does have the API SN , SN Plus oil rating listed in the service manual. When I had my 2017 Giulia, I used the Pennzoil Euro. It was good, but it was getting hard to come by. The Mobil 1 is easy to get at Walmart or at Amazon and has the same API ratings. I’ve been changing oil with it in my 2019 for over two years and it has worked well.

    I’ve always been person to keep track when to do my own oil changes. With my Alfa since I got it (3 months ago) I’ve had the the maintenance expired notice showing.
    Is it required to reset your oil life on the dash or can I just keep doing me and having my own reminder?
    I do my own oil changes as well on the 4-5k mark.

    • @FixnDriveShow
      @FixnDriveShow  Месяц назад

      @@JosephLedezma-r6z The car will still drive normal without resetting the oil change notice lights. Resetting the lights helps keep up with the reminders and will show maintenance intervals on the car’s logs.
      Not necessary after an oil change, but nice to be able to reset it.

    What's up with the mopar oil?

    • @FixnDriveShow
      @FixnDriveShow  7 месяцев назад +1

      The Mopar oil is fine. I went with the Mobile 1 because it is more easily available, cheaper and still meets the specs. If your vehicle is still under warranty, you may want to use Mopar oil.

      Haha. All good. If you notice the cat litter on the ground, I learned the hard way not to fill the car with oil while looking through the camera. I missed and a bunch of oil ran down the front of the engine. Car is still running strong. I did this fill a year ago and have done two oil changes since.

    Can this be done with a cheap Chromebook? And how do we get the program?

    • @llamuh
      @llamuh 6 месяцев назад +1

      Unfortunately, the MultiECUscan software is Windows only so it will not work on the ChromeOS. An old used Windows laptop should work just fine. If you do go used, you may want to format the drive and reinstall Windows on it just to have a clean slate and get rid of any junk they may have installed.
