Easy Guide: Program Your Honda S2000 Remote
Hey silly question. How did you manage to jack up all four corners and place the wood underneath? I can jack up the car on those black squares but I don’t know where to place a jack stand or wood underneath. Thank you.
Okay, maybe I'm an idiot, but anytime I've changed brake fluid, all I've ever done is opened the bleeder screws on the calipers, attach a hose to each bleeder screw that goes into a bucket or bottle.. Then, I get into the car and pump the brakes.. The fluid then pushes itself out through the bleeder valves and I pour fluid into the reservoir as the level decreases until all of the old fluid is worked out of the system.. I don't even take the tires off.. SImply putting the car on jack stands has always been enough. I don't know why you have to go through all these extra steps?
Yo I’m panicking because the rotors are too big… after further analysis, I’m a complete goof ball. I put the front rotor on the back.
Thank you 🙏🏼
Thanks for watching!
Thank you for the video changing spark plugs really helped, next I’m changing my transmission fluid
@@KeislerLugo18 Awesome! Glad to help. Are you able to find a filter pan? I couldn’t find a good link to buy the pan and had to buy it on eBay. I have the part number in the description. Just make sure it’s a genuine ZF filter so it fits properly. Thanks for watching!
@@FixnDriveShow I saw it on eBay too but haven’t bought it yet, I’ll do it with the part number tho
The part number will help. Makes sure it is a ZF brand, not a knock off. Will be more reliable.
Great video! Going to do this myself soon
Question how many 2x4s did you use like the length wise 10 ft or more and what was the spacing that you use for the wheels like how many inches apart so that it wheels lock up
I need to change my brakes in my ARG
Would you recommend replacing the ignition coils, as well? If so, where can we get the OEM ones?
Pops the trunk as well ?
Sure does! Thanks for watching!
@@FixnDriveShow awesome ! Thank you just ordered the 2 pack for my jdm 99 ap1 hoping it works. The fob it came with has a small button for trunk and only one big button that when i hit can hear the doors making noise but don’t lock or unlock either door probably cause it’s only one button.
@@FixnDriveShowdang maybe cause mine is imported didn’t work for me. 😢
I was only intending on doing the front rotors and pad replacement since they are worn compare to the rear. Will it be an issue if I only bleed the front brakes replaced ? Your videos are great and also appreciate adding all the tool links!
@@EdwardRivera-y7e It is fine to replace only front brakes and rotors as they tend to wear quicker than the rear, but with the brake fluid change, you will want to bleed all the brakes. Mixing old fluid with new fluid could negatively affect the braking performance. Be safe. Thanks for watching!
Quick question the only way to reset the mileage left on oil in the infotainment system is through that OBD reader I reset the oil light with the brake pedals, but the mileage on the infotainment system is still there.
I was only able to reset the mileage on the infotainment system with MulitECUScan. Here is a link to a video that I show how to reset the mileage. ruclips.net/video/ItBj8KNYrMQ/видео.htmlsi=FDHZrN8_Lj3sdWL2 17:09 Thanks for watching!
Thank you for the video.... gonna do this on stelvio.... Have a question after putting the brakes into service mode before disconnecting the battery cables should I turn off the console (press start/stop button) ?
In hindsight, the brake service mode is a little redundant when disconnecting the battery. I believe brake service mode disables the parking brake while the car has power. You do want to make sure the parking brake is off before disconnecting the battery. Brake service mode helps with that. Thanks for watching!
How do you get that program in the Chromebook?
Sadly, This software is setup for Windows. Thanks for watching!
Hi looks like you still have your alfa . How many miles do you have on it and have you done any mods ?
I have just over 63K miles on it. It has been a solid car. Buying these used and doing your own maintenance makes this car a performance bargain. I am currently running it stock. Sometimes I put the Burger Motorsports JB4 in it. Gives the Giulia good midrange. I’ve used an open air filter, but didn’t like it. Did like how it sounded and felt like it had a negative performance gain. Too much heat soak. Even with a heat shield. Went back to a stock air filter. Thanks for watching!
A little tip is that when I do my front brakes, I’ll turn the wheel so that the calipers facing out to the side of the car a little bit that helps on working on it and torque stuff
@@joebama6945 Thanks! That is very helpful. It gets cramped working on the calipers in the straight position. Thanks for watching!
Great video and thanks, it does match AR tech docs. I have one question. The AR giulia/stelvio use "The Continental MKC1" by wire brake system so with no Battey power what effect does pressing the brake pedal have(hydrolic pressure is via an electric pump)? Can anybody help?
@@nenadh59 without power, it turns into a hydraulic brake. It’s a safety failover incase your Alfa loses power. You will notice the brake without power will feel firmer than when the wire brake assist kicks in. Thanks for watching!
Thank you my friend! Straight to the point. Really helped me out. :)
Thanks for this 'how to.' I just recently purchased a 2021 Stelvio and the first thing I did was replace the battery on both fobs.
Glad to help! Thanks for watching!
Disconnecting battery and enabling brake service mode only applies to changing brake pads/rotors but I guess it never hurts to be too cautious. Otherwise great video!
In hindsight, brake maintenance mode isn’t really needed as long as you turn off the parking break before disconnecting the power. It looks like it reset the brake maintenance mode when I hooked the power back up. Thanks for watching!
Need turn off before remove battery?

20 minutes to change filter and oil. An hour installing the shield and the 4200 screws. An engineering marvel? I think not! Thanks for the video. Big help addressing Multiecuscan!
@@JFroggg I hear ya, I’ve done the shield with a socket wrench before. Brutal! Using a low impact driver is a game changer. You can remove the screws in less than 2 minutes. Thanks for watching!
@@FixnDriveShow lol! Bought one just for this errand!! Devine!
multiscan will not work on 2020 or above due to firewall, you need to install a bypass
@@ldenorio Yes mine is a 2019 and I had to buy the bypass module
@@ldenorio Thank you for mentioning that. Mine is a 2019 and I believe it is the 2018 and up models that need the bypass module. I have one installed on mine and plan to do an install video soon of it. Thanks for watching!
I read the instructions and then followed your instructions (visual) to the T. Worked like a charm. A couple of recommendations: if you do at home (don't have a lift) use the 1L or 1qt bottles, I initially used a 5L bottle and it was a hassle to handle under the car. Don't buy the Harbor Freight click torque, it's a PoS, I cannot stress this enough, it's a PoS; it doesn't click and when it does it's barely audible. I purchased at my local Walmart the Chemical Guys APC + Degreaser, this left my garage floor looking like I never spilled any oil. Thank you FnD, for it being my first time other than making a little bit of a mess it was simple enough, much appreciated👍
@@mcarr6 Awesome! Glad it helped. Thanks for the recommendation. That space is tight without a lift. Thanks for watching!
Does that oil meet the fiat spec that’s called out in the manual? I’ve only used mopar and pennzoil European which do meet that spec. Not judging just curious.
The Mobil 1 I use doesn’t have the Fiat Spec number, but does have the API SN , SN Plus oil rating listed in the service manual. When I had my 2017 Giulia, I used the Pennzoil Euro. It was good, but it was getting hard to come by. The Mobil 1 is easy to get at Walmart or at Amazon and has the same API ratings. I’ve been changing oil with it in my 2019 for over two years and it has worked well. Thanks for watching!
I am finding that these Alfa Giulia's so much easy to work on compared to other brands...thank you!
Awesome! With a few special tools, you can save thousands not taking it to a dealer. This, overall, is a fairly easy car to service yourself. Thanks for watching!
@@FixnDriveShow this car has a lot room to work with in the engine bay and even that diff has a lot of workable space compared to most cars! Thanks again...
How many miles was on this fluid...didn't look that dirty! Thanks!
I changed it at 50k miles. I saw where FCP Euro was changing the BMW ZF Transmissions at 50k and figured it couldn’t hurt. Thanks for watching!
Is this the same for the Stelvio?
Should be the same drivetrain. If you have a Q2 or Q4 limited slip differential, you may need a little more than a quart. Thanks for watching!
@@FixnDriveShow Thanks and great video BTW
Hey man long shot on your possible response, I followed your video and changed both front pads and rotors but now the back driver side tire is not spinning when I try to take it off, any idea?
Which part isn’t spinning? Thanks for watching!
@@FixnDriveShowthe wheel itself doesn’t spin when it’s lifted
In brake maintenance mode, the parking brake is disabled, but the car is still in park. The rear wheels won’t turn, but you will still be able to change out the pads and rotors.
Couple questions, 1) did you start the car in between the front and rear brake replacements, 2) upon re-hooking the battery back up did you get codes that had to be reset
@@edwardveneziale6830 i personally did not restart the car between front and back, I did them all in one shot. After connecting the battery I did get codes that I cleared with the steering wheel method. Start the engine, turn the steering wheel fully to the right, hold for two seconds, turn it fully to the left, hold for two seconds then turn the wheel back to center and turn off the car.
Did I miss something in regards to the blue and grey cables? I didn’t see when or where you used them. Great video thanks!
For this project, the blue and grey aren’t needed, but if you purchase the modified ODBII connector, I recommend getting the blue and grey connectors for other projects. Thanks for watching!
you should rename the title in "how to change half trasmission fluid". you miss 4 liters of old oil in the torque converter
How do you get the rest out?
You need machine for this. But this is just fine.
Just flush it 2-3 times and run the vehicle through drive and park
Can’t seem to find that part number on fcp euro
Thanks! This has been immensely helpful :)
Any codes to clear afterwards? Thank you and great video. Sacha from beautiful Montreal Quebec!
No codes or anything I had to reset. I just used MultiECUScan to check the transmission fluid temperature. Thanks for watching from beautiful Montreal Quebec!
What is the difference with the Q4?
Q4 is the same engine. Just AWD
They always skipping how they jacj it up
Got you covered. ruclips.net/video/iDIFjcQAkh8/видео.htmlsi=dIdsVjA6IOi1IpCd
Perfect! subbed for more Alfa/BMW fixes. Thanks for the detailed video
Can these swap the M series pans used on the bmw zpans?
I’m not affiliated with them, but FCP Euro would be able to get you the correct part number for the pan. They also have great videos on changing BMW transmission fluids. Thanks for watching!
So my Stelvio seems like it’s stutter from 1st to 2nd gear when shifting when I’m on low rpm. When I floor it this does not seem to be the case. Just picked it up from the garage after the usual maintenance appointment. Could old transmission fluid be a cause of this problem? Because I’m almost certain they didn’t change the transmission oil. Nevertheless thanks for the vid! Step by step I’m trying to do my own maintenance.
How many miles is on it?
@@FixnDriveShow 150k km.
Salve di solito l'astina di colore giallo del controllo livello olio motore si trova a sinistra l(lato guidatore) molto in basso del blocco motore 👋🍀⚪🔴
Good vid. I bought the BMW kit from FCP Euro that came with 7 quarts. Mine took a bit over 5 quarts as well.
Drip at 14:38 hope it's not oil :)
Haha. All good. If you notice the cat litter on the ground, I learned the hard way not to fill the car with oil while looking through the camera. I missed and a bunch of oil ran down the front of the engine. Car is still running strong. I did this fill a year ago and have done two oil changes since. Thanks for watching!
Thanks from the UK, just about to collect my 2017 Guilia and looking to do my own oil services. 😊👍
Awesome! Enjoy. These are fun cars. Thanks for watching!
So, start the car, then foot on brake?
You’ll press the brake to start the car. You will also need to keep the brake pressed when going through the gears. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the video. Will be doing this tomorrow morning, unfortunately my working area isn't perfectly flat. I'm thinking having a very slight decline towards the back (rear very slightly lower than the front) would be the best to go with in my situation.
That tilt will help with the drain, but might make it harder filling it. Is your differential a Q2, Q4 or base model? In this video, mine is a base model and only needed about 1 quart. There are a couple other diffs like the ELSD in the Quads that hold 1.1-1.4quarts. Thanks for watching! Safe safe.
