Tristan came out and worked on my car. Very professional, very friendly, helped me understand my car better in terms of what to look out for. Thanks, Ricky, for always giving us great content and resources to make our Alfa ownership experience that much better. Most useful car channel ive been on.
Nice how to. A quick tip that I learned from Motoren Zimmer is to blow out the spark plug holes with compressed air, before taking out the plugs, to prevent debris from falling into the engine.
There’s not a ton of maintenance videos and I know dealers are getting scarce, this is a great team up to show people how to do work solo. Save themselves a decent amount of money. Appreciate you noticing the efforts 🙌🏽 a lot going into to planning useful content
I know down the line you guys are gonna do a hybrid turbo install which is gonna be epic but what about a video on the transmission fluid & filter service👀
Don't forget to give yourself credit Geoffrey. You're probably one of the smartest individuals I've ever met and I enjoyed working with you. I appreciate the compliment 😎
Sometimes the oil level does not show up correctly for a few days, so do not put more than 5.5qt. I have just learned today on the Stelvio forum, that the MES should show the actual oil level, still need to find this feature in MES.
Gret video! Just a question about the filter. What's the difference between M0-339 and M0-090. It shows the M0-090 OEM filter online. Can I use either or. Tough to get M0-090 here in Canada.
Great video. I may need to head up your way to see if they can assist with installing SGW bypass. In my Giulia it is up so far & tight my fat fingers can’t manipulate it, think they would mind assisting? Keep up the wonderful content!
n the alfa was always my dream car, after watching the "6 underground" i knew I had to get it but once I noticed I couldn't turn off traction control unless i did the battery trick or got a quadrifoglio it just turned me off 😒 but W video this helped a lot
Is that squeaking noise when he's removing/installing the new plugs normal? I had that as well when I was doing my plugs - especially on that 2nd cylinder with the hose in the way that I was fighting while installing. I was worried something was being done wrong or I was damaging something. No CEL for misfiring or anything though so I assume it's all good?
The Giulia fuel filter is only serviceable through fuel pump replacement and is generally unnecessary for the life of this particular car. Additionally, There is no reported service life for it.
@@MichaelGarza-hd6nm yes they are. Left/right and Up/down. The up/down adjustment is behind the front wheel well on both sides. point it at a wall or garage door either right at dawn or dusk and adjust away.

So just did my spark plugs, got them from Advanced Auto. $17 something a piece. Not a very difficult job but i had a heck of atime with getting the clips off. Was trying to use a pick but he made it look a lot easier. Cylinders 1 and 2, the ones closest to windshield, i was able to get out without disconnecting the wires and there was enough slack in wires that they just pulled out. Everything but the clips went smoothly, but....i have always put a little anti sieze on plugs and after evrything is together and went for a test drive to make sure all is good, i see the NGK says to put them in dry and anti sieze may cause issues with threads and such. Now iam a little stressed out! Some people are saying on forum's, no big deal. Any input about this or what should i do? Take them out and get off what i can?
@@ModdedMotors been meaning to get back on here and comment. Talked to a few guys I trust with asking this question too. One guy, that has been working on car engines for decades, I asked him about putting anti-sieze on spark plugs? He said he dosent when he is working with aluminum heads. I said I pretty positive that's what the Alfa has. The others i spoke to said i should be just fine. He said you will be just fine. Most things I read were if you torqued then to spec, that spec is for when the plugs are dry and when you put them in "wet" they will turn more than they should and possibly strip threads and all that. I just did it by feel till they were snug so I should be OK. But yeah may be something to address one way or the other for the masses. Put a few hundred miles on it so far and don't feel anything weird at the moment so... Thanks for getting back

I'm a mechanic and even on my Giulia, that middel gray clip broke using the pick. It's cheap as f*ck. lol I had to zip tie it back on. Poor and cheap design at best. Also, which Autel scanner does the reset? I have an Autel scanner and it doesn't reset the oil change. I need a cheap way to reset the service as well.
We own the autel MS909. If you have an 18.5my or later, you'll have to either bypass the sgw or purchase auto auth (which I think is $60/yr) to be able to get in to do the oil reset procedure. If you're going to do this, be aware that you not only have to do the oil change reset procedure in the ecm, but also in the ipc (instrument panel cluster).
