More like one of the last older audio brands that didn’t sell out to sell products in Walmart. All we have left of Rockford fosgate, Jl audio and apline type r’s kicker is iffy

But once this review reaches JL im certain they will say no one is mean no one in the internet has done a review of this sub this way. And presenting the engineering to the consumer to understand the purpose of the driver/product/woofer
Found your channel a month ago while putting my system together. Ended up going full JL. I even bought the prefab box with 2 12’s just to swap the subs to w3 12’s. Now i have 2 w0 sitting on the floor. Love the content. Keep pimping this game, im pulling for ya.
@@cl91 I do believe they actually use them in their home audio sub boxes, which go for ridiculously large amount of money and I believe it is the exact same literal subwoofer, you would just have to have a nice box built, and then find a home audio sub amp, I think JL Audio makes one too🤔🤔
I used to love to read Car Audio Sound & Security magazines and JL's advertisement page. JL Audio would have the sickest subwoofer setups (single sub/ three sub/ etc. odd number sub and amp setups).

Bought one of these mini bad boys from a buddy. Built a sick custom box for it. And now it just sits in my spare room. Planning on running 2 on a jl 1000/1. Hopefully next year I’ll have my car restored so I can build my system. Favorite subs hand down. There expensive cause there worth it.
Took 22 years for me to get the w7 line. Now I have 3 10w7s going to a 1500.1 JL amp. Can’t wait not install. But then I can’t stare at the craftsmanship of the subs. Lol
w7 looks amaizing i had a set of w7's not sure if they were 13s or 13 in a 1/2 weird size and i didnt care for them but wish i would of kept them to try different box size and ports it might of been maybe i didnt have as much as knowledge as i have now because it was like 10 years ago maybe i had wrong box size or wrong port measurements i sold them for 500 for the pair but before that i had pair of 15 w o in a ford probe hatch back on 2 kenwood 600s and they were no joke i also had older 12 w3's and they were no joke i think if i could find a pair of 15 w3's id run them because the 15w0 sounded real good to me
I’m looking to put together another jl audio build. Nothing too fancy but just 4 C2’s and a sub. The d’a more 750.1 amp I have does 1, 2 or 4 ohms. Not 1.5 ohms. I’ll have to look for something JL that will run 1 ohm.
I just picked up a pair of jl12w6v2 and a pair of wdx12g2. I don't have a proper spec box for either yet. I have to sell one of the pair to save money to get the best enclosure ever from from MBE ,you might have heard of this sub box guru. Which subs do you suggest me keep sir? I'm really going by your decision. The set will be getting pushed with a jp23v2 amifier. Thank you
Don't tell em cuz. I heard 3 w0 10's back in high school c/o '97 (RIP Scott Youngblood) and it was on a Purple Phoenix Gold amp rated at like 600watts and the difference in sound comparison with woofers on the same level was apparent. I'm going home audio as well with JL. 2nd to none!!
I haven’t had a JL sub but I’m on my third amp of theirs. Of course I have my Surge 4K and some big dog shit but for my daily, I have an Orion HCCA 10” doing 2 ohm on a JL RD 1500/1. Doesn’t matter what it is, Brazilian, Korean, Chinese, or anything else… nothing sounds as good and produces robust bass that has pressure and accuracy at every note like a JL.
I think those JL subs have that odd ohm load so they don't have an amp that can deal with them properly so they think they suck. They just need to learn how to work with them as directed.
I think the w7 is the best subwoofer for sq and spl combined, I don’t think it’s the best sq subwoofer out their . I’m going to get hate for this but I think the old school round solo baric svc is still the best subwooferi I ever heard, just my opinion..

Go ahead and keep replacing those skars none of them will hold a candle to the engineering and longevity in which the engineers at JL crafted these . I’d love to see a skar sub last 5 years let alone 20 plus years like the w7 ,now go cry in the car

I am currently running 2 8W7 AEs in a sealed box 1 cu ft per side. They get low and rumble. They sound like 12s.😊

I will never run any other subwoofer other than JL. I love my W6’s
Dag skippy I own both the W6 and 13W7 I’ll have no other sub from this point on.
Let also not forget that JL had one of the number one selling amps of all time in late 90’ all way up to mid 2000’s
