- In this episode, Hay and Kyle use a 114 year old book to take them on an adventure to Eldon Hole, the deepest chasm in Derbyshire! I hiked Eldon Hill 2 months ago on The Ethel Challenge. If you are looking for out of the way Peaks then I'd give that a look. Unfortunately I came off Eldon the wrong way and ended up walking 4 miles on the 'A' road to get back to the Car. From where you started I think you parked at that tucked in car park by the bridleway were you can fit about 3 cars. Great vlog, thanks for sharing.

Great video, did you know that recently the bones of up to five humans - dated to over 2000 years old - have been found at the bottom of the hole? Details can be found in various Derbyshire caving journals. If you return please be very careful and perhaps obtain the help of a caving club. Subscribed!

@@HayandKyle there is not much at the bottom. A short low passage into a large chamber..Millers chamber..and a climb in the chamber up to Damocles rift '.which is very well decorated with calcite formations included a very long stalactite " the sword of Damocles. The ledge that your camera landed on was the scene of a fatality in the sixties. Sorry if I am rambling on a bit.

Great video guys as always . Never heard of Eldon Hole . I have been down a a huge pot hole called " Giants Hole " which is near where you guys were . I did go down it for about 5mins ( which was amazing and only with a small torch and phone lol ) . Love doing things that are challenging. Anyway , yet again , love your videos. Keep them coming. Can't wait for the next one.

Brilliant footage and very interested. When the camera got to the lowest level it could, we could have sworn we saw a figure, but it was just the way the stone was cropped out, still looked spooky 👀

Agreed, although it was quite hard to find a safe spot to sit and lower the camera in where it wouldn't get caught half way down. Quite tempted to abseil properly to the bottom 🤔

Can you guys recommend where to visit for starters with children ? I live in Nottingham so been told southern parts of the peak? Great video ! X
Hi Ash depends what you are looking for really! Luds church is a good one but can get boggy during winter 👍 padley gorge is also great ☺️👍 Monsall Trail is also ideal as you can hire bikes and cycle along to the viaduct and beyond 👍☺️
