I came to the Good and the Beautiful through you just this year. I needed to change curriculum for my twins and this was a perfect fit! So glad that you got a link so that the company knows just how many people come to them through you. That is so exciting! So thankful for your sharing their curriculum all these years.
You are definitely one of the homeschool mamas (that i thank God for) for recommending TGTB... it's been a blessing in our lives, and I'm so glad I can recommend them to friends ❤ ps: seeing your daughter do level 6 just makes me think ... wow ... time flies. I remember you showing us a lower elementary LA lesson. Many blessings to you and your family ❤
What a great idea Ashley. I heard about TGATB from you some years ago when I started homeschooling about 4 years ago. Those books, The Secret Door great, hope they come back in, know my 8 year old would love them. I’ll also pick up Math 7 for my almost 11 year old. Thanks so much for always sharing your hs journey and great curriculum choices. X
I came to the Good and the Beautiful through you also! I'd love to let the Good and the Beautiful know that! 🥰 I was so bummed to miss out of the book bundle that sold out so quickly. I hope they bring it back! 🙏
Thanks for sharing! We just started using the Good and the Beautiful earlier this year after watching one of your videos. It has been a game changer in our homeschool.
Ooo this makes me so excited for high school!!! I was never taught how to manage my time and how to study in high school and it greatly affected my college career in nursing school and into my BSN.
We're on our 5th year of using the TGTB - it is everything I was looking for in our homeschool. I first heard of it through you, so thank YOU & I will most certainly use your link! ❤
I got my daughter the badger hills farm series for Christmas and she read the whole first book today. I think she’s enjoying them. :) I hope they do this with more of the required reading. It’s great for them to continue reading something they know they already enjoy.
The entire reason we've been using (and loving) the Good and the Beautiful since my oldest was in preschool (she's now in 3rd grade) is because of you! I will be using your link going forward! We get most of our curriculum from them. It's how all 3 of my kids learned to read. ❤️ And I got some of the Badger Hill series in the couple of days they were in stock! 😂 My oldest begged for that series and we surprised her with it for Christmas!
I would LOVE to see some writing samples for each level. I used to be an English teacher, and while I don’t believe things need to line up with public school, I do know what it takes to be college ready if that is the goal. We are loving TGTB so far (prek- level 3) but I would love to see how the writing continues to progress in the later years ❤😊
Thank you! Lots of content for the younger graders. Good to know TGTAB is still working for you in the higher levels. We're just finishing level 4, and I was starting to wonder if I should switch for the higher levels
I just downloaded the app before this video ended. 😂 Those reading booster games are going to be a hit with my kids! I'm definitely going to add it to my educational apps for them.
I absolutely love TGTB. Unfortunately my children have been behind so this last year or 2 we've been catching things up when it comes to language arts. My 8th grader has been doing TGTB level 6 and the level 8 book studies. We take turns by her on one day doing 2 lessons of level 6 and the next day a lesson of her book study. She is about 20 lessons away from finishing level 6 and is half way done with her second book study. So when she finishes level 6 we will slow down a bit and she will be doing one lesson of level 7 and then lesson of her book study until she finishes all 3 studies. Then I'll let her take her time with level 7 before we move on to high school language arts. It's really been working well for us. My Kindergartners recently finished the preschool and now are working through the level K slowly. My 3rd grader is almost finished with level 1 we do about 3 lessons a day, just to catch him and make sure there's no holes. But it's really easy for him. Level 2 I will be slowing down a bit and doing no more than 2 lessons a day. I truly love this program.
Ok, so dumb question. Click your link and then log in to my account like normal? Is that how to do it moving forward? I definitely want any future curriculum purchases to reflect that you are helping our family make curriculum decisions ❤
I have a question about combining The Good and the Beautiful language arts with Sonlight Curriculum readers. I own most of the Sonlight readers from using the curriculum with my two oldest children. I love Sonlight literature, and want my younger children to read their books. Do the Good and the Beautiful readers link directly to the Language Arts workbooks, or could I just replace the reading time with a Sonlight Book? Also, can the Language Arts be ordered without the book pack? My kids will be going into 6th & 8th next year. Thank you for taking the time to answer my questions.
I have loved so many aspects of the higher levels GATB language arts. My kids have struggled not enjoying the higher level books…. Have you encountered this and how do you handle grumbling about not liking the reading?
Question, I have a daughter who is going to be completing the LA 7 course and she wants to advance to the 9th grade option. She is an avid reader and very interested in moving forward past this book study option for 8th grade. What are your thoughts about that?
If I remember correctly, you have used BJU English for highschool as well. If that is correct, do you prefer one over the other, TGTB or BJU? I am one of those that will buy almost everything you recommended, because it has worked wonderfully for us. So I’m curious as to which high school curriculum to choose. I will be letting TGTB know that you’ve sent me many times throughout the years! Blessings.
I attempted writing and grammar one year for 8th since tgatb only has book studies for that grade level. We quickly ditched the bju and continued with just the book studies ❤️
Are your older children able to do TGTB language independently? My 5th grader is using BJU videos for it and I like how it’s independent. My oldest is using Abeka English 7 and is independent also.. Math is my strong subject so I need something on me for English 😬
Ashley, it was your channel that got us using TGTB! Make sure to remind us of your trackable link in the future. I want to give you credit for your influence. The Lord bless you and your family.
I sent my email letting them know all the curriculum I have purchased has been from listening and watching your family's positive growth and sharing of all levels of all the curriculum and so many books. We too have found success with the program in so many ways for so many reasons. We love their family for all they do and give but only because we loved you and your family first. God's Blessing's over you and yours this coming New Year!
For your 8th grade son- what is your plan when you are finished with the book studies. I know you mentioned using Adam to us language lessons. Just curious if that’s still the plan (my daughter is in level 7 this year).

We started the good and the beautiful bc of you and we have been using them for 4 or 5 years

The Badger Hill Farms series is so good!!

I agree!
We did the same for our oldest daughter! 😊
Yes!!!! I’m excited for this I found them from you 4 years ago!!
I also decided to try tgab about 3 years ago because of you! Thank you so much for that! ❤️
Listening as I'm switching over to TGTB language arts for my oldest next week and prepping everything now. 😊
Love that!
I switched to TGTB because of you!

My daughter has received two A’s in English 105/106 in college this year right after completing LA all the way through with tgatb.
Thank you! Lots of content for the younger graders. Good to know TGTAB is still working for you in the higher levels. We're just finishing level 4, and I was starting to wonder if I should switch for the higher levels
Glad to help!
Thanks so much for sharing! We are not past level 6 yet but I love seeing what the older levels look like!
You are so welcome!
I just downloaded the app before this video ended. 😂 Those reading booster games are going to be a hit with my kids! I'm definitely going to add it to my educational apps for them.
Hope you enjoy it!
Thanks for the info about the app! That will be so much easier than looking up Science videos.😊
Sooo much easier!
Will for sure use the link next time I need to order! So excited for you! This is great
Yay! Thank you!
Yes!! You turned me on to TGTB! So thankful. ❤congrats!!
So thankful I could point you to them!
Last time I checked, the level 8 book studies were not available...are they bringing them back?
I haven’t checked the site in awhile, I ordered mine last summer!
Im so excited for the level 7 math!!! Yay, for having a trackable link 🥳
❤️❤️❤️❤️

No such things as behind! You’re right where you need to be ❤️

I have this same question! 🙋🏼♀️
Good afternoon! Thank you for sharing ❤
You are so welcome
I have loved so many aspects of the higher levels GATB language arts. My kids have struggled not enjoying the higher level books…. Have you encountered this and how do you handle grumbling about not liking the reading?
Yes they def have voiced not loving them all but I just encourage them to read things outside of what they’d choose on their own.
Question, I have a daughter who is going to be completing the LA 7 course and she wants to advance to the 9th grade option. She is an avid reader and very interested in moving forward past this book study option for 8th grade. What are your thoughts about that?

@@GraceandGrit thank you!
Would the science units from TGTB be enough for an 8th grader?
Yes, with extensions!
Are your older children able to do TGTB language independently? My 5th grader is using BJU videos for it and I like how it’s independent. My oldest is using Abeka English 7 and is independent also..
Math is my strong subject so I need something on me for English 😬
Mostly independent. I like that there’s so elements of togetherness and of course grading and doing spelling together
Thank you for this! I've been enjoying all of your videos.
Are you only using the book studies for your 8th grader?
Correct!
Ashley, it was your channel that got us using TGTB! Make sure to remind us of your trackable link in the future. I want to give you credit for your influence. The Lord bless you and your family.

Thankyou for doing that, you did not have to! I am so happy your kids and you are excelling!
I thought, for a brief second, that you were going to say you weren't working with TGATB anymore and I was so scared 😂
Haha that would be a sad day for me! I hope to continue to work with them because we love their curriculum!
Same!
For your 8th grade son- what is your plan when you are finished with the book studies. I know you mentioned using Adam to us language lessons. Just curious if that’s still the plan (my daughter is in level 7 this year).
